In summary, for the Lama and fellow practitioners, the commitment of the body is to protect. Mantra and mudra are the commitment of speech. Secrets and the ten are the commitment of mind. It is peaceful to include Bodhicitta as the commitment of mind. As it is said in the Peaceful Tantra of the Joyful Gathering: Meditating on the three aspects of Bodhicitta is the commitment of the Vajra mind. Thus it is. The second branch of commitments has three aspects: the five that are not to be abandoned, the teaching of the five that are not to be discarded, and the conclusion of both. The first is: ignorance, etc., two lines. In this regard, the Clear Illumination says: the five correct poisons and the five wrong poisons. Therefore, in general, there are two types, correct and wrong. The five correct poisons are: When realizing that all phenomena are equal, there is no partiality in view and no separation of acceptance and rejection in conduct, this is ignorance; for those who have not realized this, attachment arises from great compassion without object; anger destroys wrong thoughts with the wisdom of self-awareness; pride does not allow the view of realizing equality to be accommodated; jealousy does not allow the clinging to duality to be accommodated in the realm of equality. These are not abandoned through the practice of realization and habituation. The five wrong poisons are: the five poisons that are self-characterized. Why are these not abandoned? The five wrong poisons, as phenomena, are not objects to be abandoned, because all phenomena are empty of their own nature, so there is no substance to be abandoned. If they are grasped by skillful means, even if they are used, they will not bind, but will be a path to liberation, and they are inherently the nature of the five families. Therefore, there is a need not to abandon them. The clinging to things is transformed, and liberation is achieved by using the actions that bind. Thinking that this is wonderful, a definite understanding arises on the profound path of skillful means, and there is a need for quick-wittedness in realizing the profound nature of reality. The second, the five that are not to be discarded, are: white essence, etc., two lines. White essence is white Bodhicitta, red essence is red Bodhicitta, feces and, the pure container of great meat is essence, urine, etc., are for purifying the conceptual thoughts of cleanliness and impurity, they can eliminate the five diseases, give rise to the five common qualities, and are special commitment substances for accomplishing the five families and the five wisdoms. Therefore, they should not be discarded but should be accepted. Here, in most versions, the phrase "pure container and essence" appears, which is impure, because in the Sanskrit version, the Sanskrit word for water is Jalam.

It also exists. The Thar-lo translation also says: White and red, as well as odor, are clean containers for holding large pieces of meat, and water should not be discarded. The third is the conclusion: Limbs, etc., are two lines. Not abandoning or discarding in this way is because it becomes a fundamental companion or method, so it is called the ten-limbed vow. Understanding the meaning of the three originally pure and the four combined, therefore, should be practiced. The third, the definition, is: Protecting, etc., is one verse. The five vows of protecting and accomplishing mentioned earlier are the root vows. Like the root of a tree, protecting will give rise to accomplishments, and if destroyed, even the seed of Bodhi will be temporarily absent. The two sets of five vows of not abandoning or discarding are called limb vows because they are needed as companions to the root vows. If these are destroyed, they will also hinder the rapid arising of fruit, making it difficult to cross like a trap on the edge of a fence. The third, the equal vow with faults and merits, is: Equality One verse. All dharmas are equal in the three kayas of Suchness without difference, and the meaning of integrating into equality with profound wisdom does not transcend this meaning, so it is the equal vow. Abiding in this, one can attain the fruit, that is, the ground of equality, complete great perfection, and Samantabhadra without difference, so it should be protected. If it contradicts this, transcends equality and clings to difference, then one cannot attain the fruit of becoming a Buddha. Fourth, there are three faults of breaking the vow: associating with the breaker, breaking the root, and the fault of breaking the limb. The first is: Breaking the root, etc., is one verse. Those who have broken the root vow and violated the precepts do not strive to take timely measures to restore the vow. Do not associate with these people even for a moment, and do not speak even for a short while. Why? Because the sin of associating with the destroyer is endless, it is called accompanying destruction. As it is said in the Compendium Sutra: Just as rotten milk causes all milk to rot, one yogi who is destroyed will displease all yogis. The second is: The root vow, etc., is one verse. If the root vow is broken, just as a small rain causes a drought, this life
