The five classes of retinues number two hundred and ninety. Among them, subtracting the fifty-eight wisdom deities, the remaining two hundred and thirty-two deities each have five crown deities, totaling one thousand one hundred and sixty. Adding the two hundred and ninety, there are one thousand four hundred and fifty, contemplating the main deity, the father and mother, as complete. By analogy, each pair of the four blood-drinking deities, and the forty-eight deities of the dwelling place and gate powers, do not have a mother. On the right side of the head, and the front and back of the right hands and feet, there are five father deities. On the left side of the head, and the front and back of the left hands and feet, arrange five mother deities. In short, one thousand four hundred and fifty deities are divided into fifty-three classes, forming a mandala of seventy-six thousand eight hundred and fifty deities. The mandala of Samye Lhundrup (བསམ་ཡས་, located in Shannan Prefecture, Tibet) is like a peaceful mandala. Second, the benefit is: "By saying," and so on. By the power of saying thus, the great wrathful mandala, blazing in all ten directions of the six realms, pervades and illuminates everything. Third, the name is: "Secret," and so on. This tantra has twenty-two chapters. This is the seventeenth chapter, which shows the supreme body and mind mandala of the wrathful deities. The eighteenth chapter has three parts: history, text, and name. The first is: "Then," and so on. After showing the wrathful mandala, in order to show the special offering, the Bhagavan, the Great Delight, specially spoke of this rare great offering that pleases all the deities of the mandala. Second, the text has three parts: the actual offering, the result of the offering, and the merit of speaking it. The first has four parts: the offering of pacifying hatred, the offering of uniting desire, the offering of ignorance samaya substances, and the offering of desirable adornments. The first is: "Those," and so on, five lines. In particular, relying on the samadhi mandala to accumulate the accumulation of merit, that is, offering to the Sugatas and giving to the Dakinis. Among them, the most supreme is that the yogi himself must first understand the nature of the cause, the characteristics of the view, and through the means of familiarizing himself with samadhi, understand the characteristics of the arising of conditions, and merge the clinging and grasping distinctions into the Dharmadhatu, the unborn realm of Dharma nature.
