And, having transformed into beings dwelling within great trees and the like, they reside there, subsisting on it, slain by relatives, transforming into purely male beings. In subsequent rebirths, they dwell as beings in the city of the womb, residing there for five hundred lifetimes, also subsisting on it. Again, in subsequent rebirths, in the place called the Vajra Hell of Uninterrupted Suffering, their lifespan extends to eighty thousand years. The extent of suffering in that hell is beyond description. Why is that? Because if the extent of that suffering were spoken before anyone, whoever heard it would faint. At that time, at that moment, that hell, merely by uttering in a single instant, "Alas, what evil have I done!" would be liberated. Vajrasattva, the King of Sages, the King of Dharma, taught that it was his own karma, and by remembering that karma, he fully understood and regretted it. Merely through regret, he transmigrated from that place, and again in the place of the Extremely Hot Hell, his lifespan also extended to eighty thousand years, just like the Uninterrupted Hell. Then, again transmigrating, in the hells of Minor Heat, Great Crying, Crying, Crushing, Black Rope, Burning, Revival, and so forth, in those hellish realms, their lifespan also extended to eighty thousand years, just like the Uninterrupted Hell and the Extremely Hot Hell. When will those end? They are also thrown into the hells of other world realms in the same way. Transmigrating from those places, they are reborn wherever famines, diseases, and weapon-related calamities occur. In those calamities, wherever those calamities end, they will also take rebirth there at the time when other calamities occur. Having been liberated from those places, they will also experience eighty thousand eons of rebirth and transmigration among the kinds of beings that are killed for their flesh and bones. Having been liberated from there, in the realm of Yama, they will endure five hundred lifetimes of suffering. Having transmigrated from there, they took rebirth as a kind of decaying corpse. In the next life after that, they took rebirth as a kind of flesh-eater. In the next life after that, they took rebirth as a kind of decaying corpse, taking rebirth as the son of the arrogant decaying corpse, called the greedy decaying corpse.

Many groups of cemetery demons, flesh-eaters, pretas, and non-humans also gathered around him by the power of their nature of eating raw human corpses, and he became the master of all the vicious ones in the cemetery. He stole the glory of others, ate people alive and stole their vitality, becoming a very terrifying and cruel figure. Because he ate his mother's raw flesh, he was widely known by the name Mazan Matangka. From the breath of that great preta came hot diseases, spreading and afflicting all embodied beings with severe pain. Cold diseases emanating from the nose spread and caused suffering to all. Being struck by the poison of the eyes was certain death. By reciting powerful mantra nails, he made everything submit to him. His large body was of an ashen blue-gray color. He was adorned with spots of blood and fat. He wore a garland of skulls. He wore a hide smeared with red blood. He always drank from a skull cup filled with blood. His hair was disheveled, black, and matted. He ate human oil and skulls as food.
