The ground is impure, the realm of emptiness. Because what is empty exists, it is subject to cessation and permanence. Everything is not empty by wisdom. Because there are no things, it is not permanent. Because there is nothing, it is useless. If all actions are entrusted, and the original uncorrected state is left there, because that is absent, that too is absent. That is the experience of the holy ones. Here, this is the holy Mahayana. Disease is not attained gradually. The fierce poison of gradualism is only cut off in an instant. Therefore, whatever and whoever, according to their understanding and inclination, should each abide in a place of trust for whatever teachings. Therefore, by countless lamps, all the holy ones have spoken, whether they are cut off as one or are indefinite, they are definite as they arise. Whatever cuts off those who enter here, laziness, many activities, wildness, distraction, dullness, desire, sleep, doubt, hesitation, gathering, socializing, enjoyment, and joy. That too is the nature of suchness, the nature of arising of all such as the five poisons, the nature of self-arising and self-pacifying suchness. Whatever obscures the meaning of the holy ones, immovability, clarity, bliss, suffering, and the clear manifestation of birth, that and the pride of difference, the nature of arising and ceasing, appear in great contemplation. Everything is undiminished, without hope or fear, joy does not arise, is immovable, is unattached, does not cease, does not take, if there is no disturbance, then it is nature itself. The realm of activity of the yogi's demons is to see the desire to speak as holy. Seeing countless emanations scattered, seeing all the holy ones speak clearly, knowing all times, seeing clearly, all appearances from the path of the six senses, from that arises the power of compassion, seeing all appearances clearly, going without obstruction in anything, going and dwelling like a bird in the sky, the holy ones' hand gestures make predictions, speaking Dharma in all languages, indicating things, seeing the movement of dwelling, arranging everything equally, that very nature, the clear appearance of nature, being able to do things without obstruction, giving advice on the meaning of the holy ones, and the lords of the world make offerings. If one knows the nature, it is a sign of the holy ones. Whoever does not know is a perverse demon. Whatever arises as a sign of the six senses, self-arising and self-pacifying, abide as you wish, because it is unborn, it cannot be reversed, that too is suchness itself. Of the past, future, and present, whatever faults and virtues, there is no thought of regret or remorse, self-arising and self-

That very peace itself. Here, what is the certainty of the noble? It is the preliminary sign of a yogi's characteristic. Just as the confluence of water, rivers, fire, gold, and Ganapa, the four certainties of gathering, scattering, arising, and root. If one is certain of being noble, then nobility arises. If one is not certain of being noble, everything is a demon. If I am certain of being noble, even if it is just a small thing, whatever arises is a preliminary sign of nobility. Whoever hears of the very nature of nobility, is not afraid, not frightened, and generates joy. Whoever sees the very nature of nobility, sees everything as the very nature of nobility. Whoever becomes the expanse of nobility, gathers into nobility in many forms. When one sees the certainty of nobility, one does not follow the path of words. Seeing that, everything is clearly noble. The nobility without appearance will be seen as without appearance. That itself is the cause of everything, and all miraculous transformations arise from it. Obtaining steadfastness in movement and hunger, obtaining steadfastness in clarity and signs, sunlight, dust particles, mirages, ocean waves, wind, and the flow of rain, clouds floating, the swaying of palm trees, the earth shaking, the appearance of the birthplaces of elements, the flow of arising, stinging pains, and so forth, by what is disease completely pacified? Crushing the birthplaces of darkness, obtaining endurance of the body, and everything being easeful and as it is. Transforming what is not into what is, and extracting what is from what is not. Finding the supreme substance that fulfills desires and is pleasing to the mind, all joy, all reverence, all pleasing to the mind, and the sign of achieving supreme mastery over all, is a sign that arises earlier than expected. Appearing naked and constantly engaging in union, bathing and swimming in a pure river, the flow of rain, the arising of vase water, tilting, swaying, and scattering in various ways, this is a sign of purifying whatever is practiced. Whoever is free from fear here, pacifying battles, calming stinging pains, ultimately liberating and escaping from the executioner, separating from the assembly of the cruel, pacifying poisonous diseases, and releasing urine is a good and auspicious sign. Especially the preliminary signs of the noble, a throne leg, a wooden ladder, climbing and going upwards, a stupa on a mountaintop, a ladder to the sky, are signs of rising higher and higher. Wherever one dwells and treads, sitting on a high throne, riding an elephant, a great lion, a garuda soaring, birds, the top of a stupa, and the peak of a mountain, dwelling in the expanse of the sky, clouds arising from the body, upon the sun and moon, dwelling is a sign of wherever one dwells. The preliminary signs of the noble lineage, exercising power over the command seal, the powerful one, is descending upon the ladder of the world.
