Not seeing it is very wonderful, Seeing it is also very wonderful, Oh my, what is happening? If you don't see it, where is the joy? With great effort and hard-won achievements, The holy path is long to seek, Even if its meaning arises and it exists, That path will still not be found. The path of the holy ones is found, Holiness is only from holiness, That is not like a supporting image, Serenity and final cessation are not the same. The ground of learning is not the same as that, The yogi's mind realizes the end and, Whatever is similar is not like that, Therefore, the great pure path, Is this secret of the mind, Because of the secret path of all thoughts gathered, Knowing this, there is no reason to seek, Seeing this path, by that very fact, Without any hardship or effort, Everything, everything is accomplished. Where does the secret of the mind reside? That is the holy secluded place, In the great hermitage itself, It is said to be the gathering of all thoughts. That itself is the immeasurable, supreme palace, A wondrous jewel, a wish-fulfilling house, Unmade, self-arisen, without inside or outside, Everything is inside. Whatever gathers here is not a gathering, For that, that itself is the supreme gathering, Gathering all dharmas, there is no arising, The supreme delight of immeasurable victors. Whatever is here is the object of desire, That itself is the great object, If you know this extraordinary object, It is the root of all objects. Thirsting is not meditation, There is no object to contemplate, If you know this secret path of the holy ones, This itself is the holy path of meditation. Protecting, there is no object to be protected, This secret path of emptiness and non-arising, If you know the words by the greatness of the middle and the end, The secret of protection is holy. Words and path, equal speech, not equally focused, In this secret, everything is one, Where is there more equality? Equal to the gathering of all thoughts. Whatever else is the practice of asceticism, In that, indulging in enjoyment, Everything here is ascetic, entering here, Asceticism is said to be the supreme gathering. This path is the very nature, the secret of the mind, Since it is already accomplished, there is no need to pray, Achievement is continuous and uninterrupted, The holy gathering of all thoughts is said. Thus, if you see the secret of the mind, Seeing the path that was not seen before, Seeing is nothing at all, Whatever appears is seeing the path, Friends, that

Purity is the path of the noble ones; hearing the name "noble one" is thorough study. The great sutra that gathers the intentions of all Buddhas, the fifty-ninth chapter, the chapter on following yoga, is complete. Then, the lords of Lanka and other friendly bodhisattvas asked the Lord of Secrets. O Lord of Secrets, here we vow to light the lamp of blazing jewels; how shall we fully understand its meaning? After asking this question, the Lord of Secrets said: O friends, the blazing jewel is the source of light. Even scattered winds cannot extinguish it, and it only dispels darkness, so it is called a lamp. It is the wisdom that dispels ignorance, as it is not seen here. Just as the essence of the sun or a jewel lamp has no basis for darkness, so the nature of what is known has no basis for what is not known. Moreover, when the sacred lamp is extinguished, the one suchness of all will appear in different forms, such as: the knowledge of darkness, the knowledge of wonder, the knowledge of children, the knowledge of biased reasoning, the knowledge of distinguishing between the edge and the center, and the knowledge of the noble ones themselves. O friends, the knowledge of darkness is the knowledge that is contrary to this. The knowledge of wrong views is to speak of differences and cling to duality. Children are like this: they say that there is nothing, but they cling to everything that exists. For example: from a moment of dust to a yojana, kalpas, stars, sun and moon, mountains, surrounding bodies, sentient bodies, the amount of enjoyment of mind and life, the nature of time, place, destruction, and annihilation, in all differences and subtleties, they destroy and say there is nothing, but they cling to existence. Because of small faith, it is not so. Whatever yogic biased reasoning is here, all of this is contained here. It appears as unreal consciousness, which is the unconditioned suchness. Because of existence, they cling to the Dharmakaya as eternal. Yogis who definitely distinguish, whatever is the nature of illusion, appears and performs mundane activities, without definite distinction. Some are so certain that it cannot come from that. That itself is the noble one because it is unreal.
