If one connects with this and decides on the view, Possessing the supreme position in a lowly body, Since you are the powerful one, I respectfully prostrate to you. With five great offerings free from deceit, View the senses like jewels on the crown of the head. The three words of the gathered intent, With faith and certainty, make them the reliance of wisdom. If the meaning of the three words is ascertained, it will be manifested, The meaning of certainty is only self-awareness. The Lord of Secrets spoke thus, The Bodhisattvas of lowly bodies, such as the Lord of Lanka, became certain of the root of all dharmas. Thus concludes the fifty-sixth chapter, which shows the practice of purifying whatever appears as the root of all dharmas, from the Great Sutra of the Collected Intent of all Buddhas. The ninth fascicle is complete. Then again, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas of lowly bodies, such as the Lord of Lanka, again asked the Lord of Secrets, "Lord of Secrets, as you have said here, among the ten categories of dharmas, what is the uncreated nature? How can it be fully understood? What is nature? What is uncreated? Whose nature is uncreated?" After asking thus, the Lord of Secrets replied: "Friends of lowly status, nature is unchanging, uncreated is reality. These are the nature of mantra, the nature of viewing it, the nature of not departing from it, and the nature of practicing it." Friends, here the nature of mantra is as follows: Like the nature of space, free from discrimination, without discrimination. Likewise, like the nature of earth, it is the nature of producing all things. Like the nature of fire, it destroys all things. Like the nature of wind, it eliminates the dust of movement. Only like the nature of water, without others, it merges into that nature. Because it is the nature of medicine, it purifies the chronic diseases of samsara. Thus, because it is the nature of life, it is the nourishment of all pure beings. Thus, because it is the nature of cutting, it cuts off the ocean of suffering. Like the nature of the sun, it illuminates the dark room. Like the nature of Mount Sumeru, nothing can move or shake it.

Without. The nature of being like an ocean, blessings arise from immovability. Similarly, the nature of being like a medicinal herb, just as poison turns into medicine. Such as these, infinite and supreme, all arise from being free from conceptualization. Unfabricated and unadulterated, that is suchness. Friends, know that these are the nature of secret mantras, this is the result of hearing and thoroughly discussing. Friends, what is the nature of looking at that? It is like this: not mistaken, not changing, definitely certain. Not attached, not conceptualizing, not weakening, not weary. For example, from the nature of the sky, clouds and fog, water vapor, the moon, sun, and stars, appear, yet remain like the sky. Similarly, from the sky of suchness, whatever conceptualizations of signs arise, the yogi should view its dharma nature as remaining like the sky. In suchness, which is as it is and unfabricated, with the difference of seeing and not seeing, separately observe the differences in views. For the conceptualizer, it is conceptualization itself. For the one with wrong views, it is wrong conceptualization itself. For the one who merely clings to one side, it is nominal existence. For those who understand all sides, it appears as illusion. There, determining that itself, is seeing the sky. Remaining like the sky in the sky, the appearance of the sky itself in the sky ceases. Friends, know that these are the nature of view. This is the determined result of hearing and discussion. Friends, what is the nature of not deviating from that? It is like this: In this dharma nature like the sky, everything is completely one, free from guarding and not guarding. Where is the measure of guarding? The yogi who is like the sky, guards the samaya that is like the sky. Where there is no boundary to guard, there is happiness. Therefore, it is guarding everything. Because everything, all of everything, is determined to be sacred, the very act of clinging to measure and limited action declines. For whom there is no conceptualization of guarding and not guarding, that is supreme. Holding onto the boundary of guarding like that, because it is illusion, it is sacred. What is meant by saying "guard" there? There are no words for guarding and not guarding, for dharma nature, there is acceptance and rejection, how can it be sacred? The dharmas of guarding and not guarding, because there is nothing to guard, are thus declared. In the ultimate truth of suchness, abiding in the wisdom of suchness as it is, with the unspoken samaya, bound in the state of no guarding boundary. This unguarded sky samaya, how is it?
