The self should be focused on bodhicitta, widely learned, proficient in activities, close to the deity, obtain unwavering faith, have a fierce and fearless mind, be without jealousy, not dependent on others, and not violate vows. This is the self. Then, the Bhagavan extracted these from his own body, speech, and mind vajra. He taught the six activities of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, wrathful, and subduing and averting. The great pacifying mandala of pacification is one fathom long, the stove opening is round, one span in size, in the middle of the stove is a four-spoked wheel, one finger high, round, one finger outward. Carve it out of clay or soil and place it. The opening of the stove is surrounded by a vajra fence. On the outer round layer, draw eight-petaled lotuses. Draw the goddess of auspiciousness and the goddess of offerings. The substances to be burned are juniper, fir, and pine. White ghee, brown sugar, honey, rice, rice porridge, rice cakes, sesame oil, barley porridge, broad beans, wheat broad beans, sesame broad beans, beans, mustard seeds, rice shoots.
