You should know that the body colors of warriors and gatekeepers and so on should also be understood in the same way. The meaning of inconsistent hand symbols explained here is: If you meditate on the hand symbols of heroes and heroines, that is, the triangular jewel, as your own nature, you will develop the fault of attachment.

If one meditates on oneself as a vajra, the door of desire will not be closed. If one meditates on oneself as a book, the door of ignorance will not be closed. If one meditates on oneself as a precious vase, the door of miserliness will not be closed. If one meditates on oneself as fire and water, the door of hatred will not be closed. If one meditates on oneself as the sameness mudra, there will be the fault of scattering things. If one meditates on oneself as the lotus mudra, there will be the fault of leakage. From the King of Tantras, the Supreme Samadhi Tantra, the fourth chapter, which eliminates the faults of the body mudra. Now, Samantabhadra explains the faults of ornaments and attire. Among the body ornaments of the five Buddha families, father and mother, if one meditates on oneself as the head ornament, one will not realize the meaning of nirvana. If one meditates on oneself as earrings, they will become the coquetry of signs. If one meditates on oneself as a necklace, the obscuration of grasping and clinging will be great. If one meditates on oneself as armlets, one will not abandon the tendency of grasping and conceptualization. If one meditates on oneself as bracelets, one will be involved in the activities of signs. If one meditates on oneself as anklets, one will be bound by the iron shackles of pain. If one meditates on oneself as a necklace, one will be held by the noose of samsara. If one meditates on oneself as silk streamers, one will establish the foundation of samsara. If one meditates on oneself as the bodhisattva posture, there will be the fault of permanence and solidity. If one meditates on oneself as the equal posture, there will be a great danger of straying into mere meditation. If one clings to oneself as the vajra posture, karmic afflictions will arise. If one meditates on oneself as the senses such as the eyes, one will be led by arising sensations. If one meditates on oneself as the ornaments of a bodhisattva, one will not realize the dharmakaya. If one meditates on oneself as the ornaments of a female deity, desire will not arise as dharmata. If one meditates on oneself as the ornaments and symbols of wrathful deities, male and female, the wind of jealousy will rage. If one meditates on oneself as a snake, the fire of hatred will blaze. If one meditates on oneself as raw hide, the darkness of ignorance will deepen. If one meditates on oneself as a skull garland, one will not move from the place of samsara. In the ornaments of the Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha), if one meditates on oneself as a round head, one will not be liberated from the cessation of the Shravakas. If one meditates on oneself as bare feet, the qualities of desire will not appear. If one meditates on oneself as monastic robes, the door of suffering will arise.
