Though much is done, it does not turn into true meaning. Though attached to the deeds of attachment and hatred, there is no attachment to the sacred meaning. Though generosity is widely practiced, the taste of the meaning of Dharma is not felt. Though speaking of selflessness and detachment, there is no separation from the five afflictions. Though skilled in asceticism and realization, the conceptualization of grasper and grasped is not stopped. Therefore, those assembled yogis, with the lamp of hearing words, if seeking the gold of true meaning, having seized this monkey desiring realization, like tying up a thieving cat, blocking all cracks and windows, demolishing empty houses, and opening the king's treasury, then they are always Buddhas. If the path of true meaning is painted, then the five faults of conceptualization should be abandoned. The mountain of coarse conceptualization, and the five faults of sign, movement, feeling, and arising feeling should be eliminated. Conceptualization also has two types, appearing as coarse and subtle. Likewise, signs have two types, large and small. Movement has two types, long and short. Similarly, feeling has clear and unclear. Arising feeling also appears as two types, fast and slow. This is what obscures the meaning, it is the great obstacle of great conceptualization. Why is that meaning not seen? Because it is obscured by darkness, thickness, universal dimness, clouds, and fog, it is not clear and cannot be seen. This also has twelve distinctions, not darkness, but great darkness, like universal dimness, universal thickness and obscuration, great and small dimness, great cloud and dimness, and vagueness, fog filling and smoke filling. Falling into the three lower realms and the human realm, and the four desire realms and the form realm, the formless realm, the realm of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. The great fault of falling is, the six types of sign distraction. Distraction to the nature object, likewise distraction to external objects, internal and sign distraction, attention and evil realms. In these aspects, it should be made very clear, having eliminated them, great equanimity is placed on the meaning. The faults that obscure the meaning of equality, appear in five ways, like this: distracted by the power of arising feeling, dimmed by the power of drowsiness and sleepiness, obstructed by the power of clinging, conceptualization by the power of stubbornness, and by the power of idle talk

Moreover, this is the fault of equality. To remedy those great faults, the Victorious One has taught the instructions of the mind. The great yogi, if he understands the meaning of non-discrimination, occupying a solitary place alone, with a mind endowed with three measures, cutting off the traces of discrimination, from where do existence and non-existence arise? Through investigation, discrimination arises from signs. If one fully understands discrimination as illusion, the mountain of discrimination will become peaceful. Therefore, one will not fall into the three lower realms. If one asks, from where does discrimination arise? It arises from the dharma of signs. If one fully understands signs as illusion, all the dharmas of signs will become peaceful. That is not the end of the desire realm. If one asks, from where do signs arise? They arise from thoughts and movements. If one recognizes thoughts as faults, one can eliminate the faults of movement. By that power, one will not be in the second level of the desire realm. If one asks, from where do movements arise? They arise from feelings. There is no purity or arising. If one recognizes feelings as illusion, one can eliminate the feelings of faults. One will not fall into the third level of the desire realm. If one asks, from where do feelings arise? They arise from internal and external arising feelings. There is no purity or arising. If one recognizes that itself as a fault, by the power of such recognition, one will not fall into the fourth level of the desire realm. If one asks, from where do arising feelings arise? They arise from the dharmas of the mind, if one fully understands the mind as illusion, all the dharmas of the mind will become peaceful. The five aggregates are like images, the mind is like a mirage. Liberated from the two extremes of existence and non-existence. A yogi who understands thus will not fall into the fifth level of the desire realm. Without regarding the mind as an existing entity, or as a non-existent thing, one will not fall into the heretics. Because one has not fallen into dullness, one will not fall into non-thought. Not following consciousness, one will not revolve in the place of sentient beings. Because one is accustomed to the meaning of the Alaya, one will not fall into the realm of the Hearers. Because one does not make emptiness into peace, one will not fall into the view of the Solitary Realizers. Because one does not make complete purity into emptiness, one will not fall into the conduct of the Bodhisattvas. In the meaning of equal emptiness, because one does not distinguish the differences of each, one will not fall into the levels of the grounds, there is no gradual practice and increase. The nature of the true meaning, does not abide in anything, does not take anything, and
