Thus have the Buddhas declared. The very nature of the Bodhi-mind, By applying it in the ten stages, Appears as the suchness like a reflection. How does the nature of the reflection appear? Like a tiny star, Likewise, an ordinary star, And also great stars, Like the appearance of the first day of the moon, Two, three, four, and five, Eight and sixteen aspects of the moon, Thus, it appears as reflections, But nothing actually appears. Like the moon in water, it cannot be grasped. The appearance of the mind's reflection, And the sun of clear suchness, Like the manner of objects and senses, The nature of space and wisdom is clear. This is the path of yogic practice, A great method for traversing. If one is to train in familiarizing with this path, The culmination of yogic training. The ten stages are also like this: Just as on fertile ground, Depending on planting seeds, By ripening into fruit, Like sustaining life to make a living, Depending on this vow, Which is the basis of all suchness, By the ripening of the crops of accomplishments, It is a noble sustenance of virtue. This is the vow of this training, As the foundation of all training, It is extremely important to familiarize oneself with it. Just as the puppets of strong men, Bound by restraining fetters, If released, they easily become tame, Like going without hindrance in any direction. This faculty of the mind's awareness, Bound by the bonds of ignorance, Through the door of hearing liberation, The streams of consciousness are all liberated and go without hindrance. This is the path of liberating the stream of ignorance, The binding to be done is going, In the training of liberating from the stream, It is extremely important to familiarize oneself with it. Just as on the summit of a high mountain, If one strives to climb without tiring, Having reached the high place and pressed the summit, One understands the realm and becomes skilled in the path. Likewise, on the high mountain of wisdom, If one listens and contemplates without tiring, Then wisdom goes to the foremost of all, The wisdom of the wise is immeasurable. That which is to be skilled in meaning, Is the training of excelling, In these great wisdoms, It is extremely important to familiarize oneself with it. For example, a bee searching for honey, Enters everywhere and having found it, To where its own entrance is, It definitely enters and abides, Likewise, a yogi searching for the trace of meaning, Whatever the door of conduct

Existing and then gathering, Entering the gate of observation, examining and comparing, In the unerring right view, For the sake of cutting off the meaning of Dharma-nature, Comparing and gathering from all places, This is the boundary of what should be learned, One should diligently practice, it is extremely important. Like the inheritance of royal blood, Establishing a king as the lord of many, With treasures such as the wheel jewel, Thus obtaining the freedom to rule everything, Like the inheritance of the yogi's blood, Establishing a king as the lord of Dharma, With great symbols such as mudras, Gradually becoming the leader of all. This is the spread of power, Arising sequentially on the earth, Proceeding with skill, this is the boundary of practice, One should diligently practice, it is extremely important. Like an elephant entering water, Without hesitation or stagnation, With a joyful and enjoyable posture, Not retreating but reaching the other shore, The yogi's determined mind of practice, Entering the ocean of vows, With a posture of great diligence in practice, Abandoning without attachment. This is the boundary of what should be learned, The supreme discipline of practice, One should diligently practice, it is extremely important. Like a great Garuda soaring in the sky, Cutting through the void with the power of its wings, Even if there are endless dangerous valleys and rivers, They are all contained under the waves of its wings, The yogi soaring in equality, Even if there are endless Mahayana practices, With the meaning of great equality, The view is completely determined by the power of observation. This is cutting off hope and doubt, The view of hesitation, Is observing the meaning with the mind, These disciplines, diligent practice is extremely important. For example, a person taking treasure in the sea, From snakes, crocodiles, poisonous bees, etc., All kinds of vicious suffering, Achieving only after experiencing difficulties. Like a yogi seeking happiness, Breaking the enemies of discrimination, dullness, and agitation, These difficult to destroy activities, If one can practice, one will obtain happiness. This is the supreme samadhi, Is the discipline of practice, Is the activity of familiarizing the mind, Close familiarity is extremely important. Like in the darkness, poison and substances, Transforming into gold with the illusion of medicine, A person without the oral instructions of transformation, Even with various difficult tasks, Suffering but unable to accomplish, If a person with oral instructions, In the manner of a jointless bamboo, Transforming into medicine.
