Time manifests, without action or aim of action. That very nature is unborn, therefore without basis. Abiding in ease, there is nothing to do with the body. To practice the path of attachment, that is the duality of grasping and being grasped. Meditation is not being in a solitary place, the mind in space is the best solitude. Mind itself is the place of solitude, this is the supreme place for yogis. Not a hidden mountain cave, mind itself is the immeasurable supreme. This is the measure of wondrous jewels. Without outer or inner, all is inner. Not a gathering of assemblies, mind is the supreme gathering of wisdom. Since all dharmas are gathered, there is no remainder, a gathering that pleases immeasurable victors. Not worldly wealth or possessions, mind itself is wealth endowed with substance. If you know this supreme substance, there is no doubt about accomplishing this. Meditating is not meditating, there is no object to think about. Thus, meditating on the secret of the mind, in reality, meditating on the mind is the supreme samadhi. Protecting, the object to be protected is not an object. It is the mind itself hidden in emptiness. If you understand the words that have passed beyond characteristics, then the secret of protection is supreme. Speaking equally in words, equality is not an object. Mind itself is self-purified equality, there is nothing superior to the meaning of equality. This meaning is equal knowledge, the meaning of equality. The practice of asceticism is not practice, mind absorbed in mind is playful practice. The great and vast means is the supreme practice, it is the basis of enlightenment. Since it always abides with the mind as an outer condition, praying without the delusion of characteristics, great accomplishment is continuous. Thus, when the mind sees the mind, wisdom sees the nature of reality. At all times there is no birth or cessation, the meaning not seen before will be seen. Yet, nothing is seen, all is something without inherent existence. It is only what appears in the mind. If you see such a meaning, there is nothing to see in characteristics. Knowing the way as just illusion, the meaning equal to space will appear. But some people, in this meaning, if there is nothing to see, why call it appearance? Contradictory to the meaning of non-existence, those who have doubts, if the meaning of not seeing appears in the face of the mind, therefore it is called appearance. Therefore, without ceasing confusion, that space without seeing, that nature appears in the mind.

I transform, yet not appearing in form. If the nature of mind is not seen as true, In the mind, the meaning of no-sign is clear, and the two of wandering in the delusion of signs, are not guiding and moving, nor separating and transforming. If that nature is seen as true, Then from that moment on, immediately, The wandering of the mind ceases, Free from the previously deluded sign-dharmas, This is seeing the truth. Therefore, the assembly of the great gathering, The mind is the pure path, Like bird tracks in the sky, untraceable, It is said to be a path without error. That path spoken of in this way, In order for all to understand, Although expressed and explained in words, Yet it is apart from the realm of aimless words, This is its nature. Nature moves from the base to the sign, Because of the nameless imposition of names on it, Doubt arises as to whether it is or is not. From this it becomes the source of contention, To dispel this, in the nomenclature of signs, From the collection of words, Innumerable doors are spoken of. Thus cutting off the definitive meaning, Taken from the depths of the heart, The lamp of words seeks meaning, What exactly is the path? If one follows the arising of thoughts, Then one will revolve in the place of samsara. If the movement of arising thoughts can be stopped, Then they themselves become cessation. One who has no arising thoughts is foolish, For the path of non-Buddhists becomes darkness. If one grasps this one in the mind, Then it is a mountain of sign-discrimination. If one determines that there is no before or after, Then it is nothingness with an edge of annihilation. From the meaning of the base, in an instant, That which moves and arises and ceases, The path of nomenclature, how can it become the, nature of the path of increase and decrease? For example, any walking child, Abandons the shadow and seeks purity, And again, by the nature born of karma, Seeking, one will not find shadowless purity. The nature of meaning is the state of naturally abiding, The nature of mind is troubled by various sufferings, Even to the point of flesh and blood being blurred in seeking meaning, It is the meaningless work of demons. To express meaning in words, Is like arguing with the empty sky. Although medicine and diagnosis are spoken of in words, Yet they are of no benefit to the assembly of patients. If one does not know the meaning of the nature of mind, Speaking of meaning in words, one does not understand meaning. Abandoning samsara and seeking nirvana, Is like abandoning form and seeking shadow. What exactly is the path? Ignorance and wisdom are not different, Non-realization and realization are one on the path. This mind is various.
