When the meaning of passing into sorrow is understood, there is not even the name of samsara and the lower realms. The ninth chapter, which is about the greatness of higher realms and passing beyond sorrow. Then, the means of being inherently great was spoken as follows: Because I dwell in the king of means, there is nothing that is not accomplished. Before the great means existed, there was no such thing as Buddhahood. Because beings have the lineage of means, for the skillful means that are inherently great, in the practice of Samantabhadra, the actions and practices are completely destroyed. That itself is the greatness of means, because skillful means are endowed with all qualities, it is praised as the supreme of all Buddhas. That is the practice of great yoga. The noble one of the noble ones abides in means. The victor of the victors arises from means. I myself am the king of means, because I am completely free from the concepts of samsara, I am praised for the means of perfect Buddhahood. Compassion without means, even if born, is a meaningless effort. If these are known as the supreme of means, then those practices are unsurpassed. Buddhahood and enlightenment are not hindered. Means arise from means, means are very great. Means subdue means, means are inconceivable. Through concepts, the Buddha is clear as means. When meditating on the samadhi of means, the lower realms of samsara are the field of means. The five poisons of affliction are the path of means. Through the actions of great means, all without exception become Buddhas, I speak of great liberation. For sentient beings obscured by darkness, when this lamp of means is raised, may all understand and contemplate it. I am without inherent nature, because of the proliferation of grasping at elaboration, I speak of grasping at characteristics. The nature of mind is always good, appearing as directions and distinctions, and the thoughts of I and self, are delusion, the cause of evil. My own mind is good, Buddhas have no beginning or end. There is no good or bad in the cause, there is no accomplishment or non-accomplishment in the result. In the great leisure and happiness, suffering and antidote transform and merge, in the happiness of equality of Dharma, what substance is there for grasping and apprehending? All the mandalas of the Buddhas, completely abide in my means. The tenth chapter, which is about the means of being inherently great. Then, the wisdom of being inherently great was spoken as follows: In the ultimate, without elaboration, the unwavering Dharma nature has no birth or cessation. If one knows the wisdom of being inherently great, there is no victor above this.

There is no action. With great wisdom, in an instant, one comprehends all phenomena in the heart. Because there is no birth, there is no cessation; because there is no object, there is no elaboration. Because it is unconditioned, it is the pure realm; because it is without inherent existence, it is beyond expression. Because it pervades all, it is the nature of the father; because it generates all, it is the realm of the mother. In the wisdom beyond expression, clear is the samadhi without object. In the wisdom of the ground-of-being mother, arises the wisdom of self-originated means. From the center of the unconditioned expanse, radiates the wisdom of the king of mind. From the center of the expanse without birth and cessation, the one eye of wisdom is clear, which is the king who fully controls, the lord who plays with all, and wisdom is also clear because it is unceasing. Therefore, that which dispels all poisons, and is free from all diseases, is the clear mandala of the nature of nectar. In the wisdom of the sensory power mother, the connection is maintained by the lasso of skillful means. The king of elements is pure from the beginning, and because he generates the Sugatas of the three times, the mother is the Perfection of Wisdom. In the expanse that neither arises nor ceases, Samantabhadra is the vast expanse of the Dharma realm. Pure is the realm of great wisdom, free from grasping, without attachment. Because there is no conceptualization, it is beyond speech and thought; because there is no expression, it is like the nature of space. Because there is no inherent existence, it is the Dharma realm, vast in the ten directions and without interruption. Without inner or outer, it appears everywhere; pure and without defilement; appearing but without inherent existence. Like the moon in water, illusion, mirage, these four, are not empty and nonexistent, nor are they truly existent. Transcending both existence and nonexistence, remember the absence of inherent existence. Established by the conceptualization of great wisdom. When equanimity abides like space, it is a sign that great wisdom pervades. Unwavering equipoise is unconditioned, it is a sign of accomplishing great wisdom. When one engages in whatever arises without attachment, it is a sign of attaining great wisdom. Who has great yoga? If you wish to realize great wisdom, seek it in this chapter. The eleventh chapter: Great Wisdom is Great from the Beginning. Then, regarding the cause of faults being great from the beginning, it was said thus: Apart from the cause of faults, there are no other Buddhas. Even the supreme medicine, nectar, arises from poison. If poison did not have the cause of medicine, everything would be medicine.
