Searching. If one knows that impurity itself is purity, then from where does one seek purity? If one knows that faults themselves are virtues, then from where does one seek virtues? If one knows that samsara itself is nirvana, then from where does one seek nirvana? If one knows that the lower realms themselves are the heavens, then from where does one seek the heavens? If one knows that sentient beings themselves are Buddhas, then from where does one seek Buddhas? If one knows that the cause itself is the result, then from where does one seek the result? If one knows that conceptual thought itself is the dharmadhatu, then from where does one seek the dharmadhatu? If one knows that faults themselves are qualities, then from where does one seek qualities? That is also the self-aware mind. What is the reason for abandoning and discarding, and accepting and using? Because faults are inherently great, they do not depend on the result at all. Qualities are inherently great, so they do not rely on the result. Because it is the great among the great, there is no name for the small. Because it is the good among the good and the king among kings, there is no name for the bad and the inferior. Happy is the mind of the great person! Pure is the completely pure bodhicitta! Because one strives for one's own benefit, one should offer and respect oneself. Because one's own thought is oneself, in the state of the completely pure great person. Yoga is the completely pure certainty, so the certainty is repeatedly indicated here. This is the place of completely pure certainty. Whoever wants to seek, listen to this. The chapter on faults and qualities being inherently great is the seventh. Then, samsara and the lower realms being inherently great, thus it was said. Before there was samsara, there was no such thing as a Buddha. Before there were lower realms, the Tathagata did not reside either. The true teaching of the Buddha is within samsara and the lower realms. The name of the Buddha is also named from this samsara. There is no Buddha elsewhere. The aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and the three realms are not samsara, then where else should one meditate on the Buddha? If not the three of body, speech, and mind, from where do the three of body, speech, and mind arise? I have not taught those to arise. Whoever knows these lower realms, do so in conduct and completely pure mind. Which yogi does this? Without listening to the lower realms as samsara, making the lower realms samsara deaf, beyond those abandoned On. The Buddha of hearing and thinking, and the Buddhas of bliss and happiness. Because I want to obtain them from elsewhere.

Hoping for liberation, yet not liberated; hoping for accomplishment, yet not accomplished. When one fully understands samsara, that is called nirvana. When one fully understands the lower realms, that is called attaining liberation. If one realizes the meaning of the absence of impurity, then even I, the Buddha, would praise samsara. In reality, there is no praise; that is the truth itself. If one does not realize the ultimate truth, and self-arisen wisdom does not dawn, then there is nothing that does not become poison, and nothing that cannot harm the enemy. If one realizes the meaning of great bliss, and opens the door of bodhichitta, then there is not a single fruit that cannot be obtained; there is nothing greater than this. Examine, analyze, and make your own mind good; go forth, seek, and that is the beginning itself. Whoever wishes to explain and show, do not explain to anything, leave it where? Do not realize anything, I need it. The supreme fruit is here. If the mind does not arrive first, and the intellect does not clearly realize, then many words will not accomplish the meaning. From all the Buddhas of the three times, praise samsara and the lower realms; the Buddhas of the three times are there. Opening the door of great liberation, I request the Buddhas of the ten directions to listen. The cause is left in its unconditioned state; the result is taken as without inherent existence. In meaning, it is shown as the great bindu; there is no contradiction in this. The eighth chapter, on the greatness of samsara and the lower realms from the beginning, is complete. Then, the greatness of heaven and nirvana from the beginning was spoken, saying: The ladder to attain liberation, and the nature of nirvana, in order to correctly show their greatness, the clear consciousness of the senses appears. This is also the greatness of heaven. Enjoying through realizing everything, this is also the greatness of heaven. Furthermore, the greatness of heaven is, understanding how it exists as it is, knowing its truth as it is, everything through realizing the meaning in the result, heaven is supreme and unsurpassed. The greatness of nirvana is, the nature of reality extending to the ten directions, awareness without beginning or end, the alaya without good or bad, inside and outside without good or bad, wisdom without acceptance or rejection, accomplished through nirvana and so on. In immovability, awareness dawns; in the mind of the Buddha, nirvana; the object is nirvana in the nature of reality; realization is nirvana in wisdom; the container and its contents are nirvana in the body; sentient beings are nirvana in oneness; nirvana in the ultimate truth.
