The nineteenth chapter. Then, those assembled in the gathering requested Bodhicitta Vajra, saying: Great Bodhisattva, what is the meaning of being beyond expression in suchness? The Great Bodhisattva replied: In the unborn Dharmadhatu, free from the basis of speech, because of dwelling in the unborn bliss, spontaneously accomplished. By dwelling in this speechlessness, this yogi is fortunate. The nature of reality is like the treasure-filled sky. Since the yogi is the nature of reality, because there is no self or other, therefore, one does not work for the benefit of self and others, and enjoys the realm of illusory spontaneous accomplishment. Although anything appears from the non-abiding realm, the appearance is a great illusion, and by enjoying the realm, it is spontaneously accomplished. Even the objects grasped as external objects, therefore, the grasped objects, are not self-established, therefore, even consciousness is not established. Thus he spoke. From the Great King of Tantras, the Great Teaching of the Mind of Enlightenment Sutra, the twentieth chapter, which is the chapter on being free from all expression.

Like the profound nature of reality, all attachments are completely absent. Because worldly children are not skilled, they desire to see rabbit horns and turtle hair, sky flowers and barren women. Those who desire to see those things, that is the realm of children. Because there is no attainment and it is inherently present, because there is only one manifestation, merely indicating this with words, even Vajrasattva cannot exemplify it. Thus it was said. From the great king of tantras, the Great Discourse on the Mind of Enlightenment, the chapter on the unchanging nature of reality, the twenty-first. Then, the assembled retinue there again asked the noble Bodhisattva thus: Great Bodhisattva, what is the cause of arising without having truly practiced? The noble Bodhisattva replied: This truly excellent ultimate truth, because there is no cause, condition, or result, unapprehendable, peaceful, like the nature of space, this wondrous and amazing play, like space, free from action, possessing body, speech, and mind, Samantabhadra, the Bhagavan abides equally in the nature of reality, the very nature of freedom from action, wondrous and peaceful. This illusory play of emanation, wonderful, the activity is unchanging, and because the nature of reality is peaceful without action, from the ignorance of not apprehending anything, it immediately arises from itself. The nature of ignorance is truly genuine, emptiness, peaceful, like the nature of space, in the wisdom, ignorance, and realm of reality. Therefore, in the ignorance of not apprehending anything, it immediately arises from itself. Because the characteristics of sentient beings are empty, whatever liberation is pure, this is the path of equality for all. Because it is the essence of all beings, it abides in the nature of all beings. Because it is defiled by ignorant children, the truly excellent meaning is sought from elsewhere, like medicine itself seeking a doctor. Just as in the characteristics of a sick person, it is pacified by medicine and a doctor, with peace, the nature of reality is pure. Thus it was said. From the great king of tantras, the Great Discourse on the Mind of Enlightenment, the chapter on the nature of reality not being established by causes and conditions, the twenty-second. Then, the assembled retinue there asked the Vajra Mind of Enlightenment thus: Great Bodhisattva, what is the meaning of all phenomena becoming greatly purified sentient beings after becoming enlightened? The noble Bodhisattva replied: The essence of enlightenment, with all of samsara becoming enlightened.

O Kun Therefore, bliss and peace are without action, not looking at the grasped and the grasper, the world is pure, all is good. In the realm of understanding, great is the bliss, that itself is the pure world. Even the upper and lower of the ten directions, all of those are known as names. Even relying on the illusion of names, the nature of reality does not change, in its own nature, actions are merely shown as illusions. There, the light of the directions gathers, the four directions, boundaries, and up and down are established. By accumulating all the streams of actions, they appear as beings and sentient beings. From the uncertain colors of the rainbow, the distinctions of lineages are manifestly apparent. All the container and contents of the world, all moving and unmoving, are pacified by suchness. Suchness, moving and unmoving, is for the sake of showing to beings. If the five elements are the main ones, all are inseparable, the five truly exist, all abide in suchness. By the power of the extraordinary, conceptualization is pacified. Whatever is the pacification of conceptualization, that is the pure Dharmakaya, the victorious hero spoke thus. Thus it was said. From the Great King of Tantras, the Great Sutra of the Mind of Enlightenment, the twenty-third chapter, the chapter on the purity of outer and inner container and contents. Then, the assembly gathered there requested the noble Bodhisattva thus: Great Bodhisattva, if all dharmas are greatly pure, what is the meaning of effort and accomplishment? The noble Bodhisattva replied: If a blind person with impaired eyes wishes to see an object of food, but like that object cannot be seen, this profound and true nature of reality, because it is not understood by the inferior vehicle, even after showing various practices and accomplishments, it is shown in order to truly grasp the meaning. In the true and profound nature of reality, the offerings to the Sugatas of the three times, and the mudras of samadhi, the invitation, for the benefit of sentient beings. In the nature of reality, those are not there. Therefore, effort and accomplishment are great in the unsurpassed place. Thus it was said. From the Great King of Tantras, the Great Sutra of the Mind of Enlightenment, the twenty-fourth chapter, the chapter on the prohibition of all actions. Then, the assembly gathered there requested the noble Bodhisattva thus: Great Bodhisattva, what is the meaning of the complete purity of self-nature? The noble Bodhisattva replied: Of the past, future, and present.
