或者佛陀？对于菩萨的那些乘，如法地恭敬承侍，纵然于无数劫中所积之福德，亦不及于此密乘中安住之瑜伽士，哪怕仅仅一昼夜，或一刹那顷，如法恭敬承侍所获福德之千百分之一。何以故？因此，此密乘乃是 声闻、独觉、菩萨等乘之所出处，并且密乘本身被宣说为是引导众生趣入之方便，而非作为最终安住之地。因此，我之化身亦能示现如何调伏各种不同之法。是故，密咒之功德实不可思议。种姓之子，某些人于无数不可说劫中，以因乘之门广修善根，然彼等亦不及于此密乘之义，仅于刹那间忆念所获福德殊胜，千百分之一亦不及。种姓之子，某些人于恒河沙数劫中，以异生、声闻、独觉或菩萨，以鲜花、花鬘、涂香、华盖、幢幡、飘带及众多美妙乐器等，充满整个佛刹而作供养，然彼等亦不及于安住于密乘之瑜伽士，仅以无有虚诳与积蓄之心，于刹那间享用欲妙之福德殊胜，千百分之一亦不及。何以故？异生、声闻、独觉或菩萨之福德与智慧之聚，亦不及于安住于密乘者之一毛孔之福德与智慧之聚殊胜，千百分之一亦不及。 如是，某些人以鲜花等充满整个佛刹之福德与智慧之聚，无论为何，亦不及欲妙之功

Or a Buddha? The merit of properly serving and honoring those vehicles of Bodhisattvas for countless eons does not even amount to one-hundredth of the merit of properly serving and honoring a single yogi who abides in this secret vehicle for even one day or a moment. Why is that? Because this secret vehicle itself is the source of the vehicles of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, and the secret vehicle itself is said to be the means of guiding beings to enter, not the place of final abiding. Therefore, even my emanations show how to subdue various kinds of Dharma. Therefore, the qualities of secret mantras are inconceivable. Sons of the lineage, some people cultivate roots of virtue extensively through the gate of the causal vehicle for countless inexpressible eons, but the merit of contemplating the meaning of this secret vehicle for even a moment is far superior, not even one-hundredth of it. Sons of the lineage, some people for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, as ordinary beings, Hearers, Solitary Conquerors, or Bodhisattvas, fill Buddhafields as numerous as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River with flowers, garlands, scented oils, parasols, banners, streamers, and many kinds of wonderful musical instruments, and offer them, but even that does not amount to one-hundredth of the merit of a single yogi abiding in the secret vehicle enjoying a collection of desirable qualities for a moment, without deception or hoarding. Why is that? The accumulation of merit and wisdom of ordinary beings, Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, or Bodhisattvas is not even one-hundredth of the accumulation of merit and wisdom of a single pore of one who abides in the secret vehicle. Similarly, whatever the accumulation of merit and wisdom of someone who fills entire Buddhafields with flowers and so on, it does not amount to the qualities of desirable things.

一个大供养法会的微尘许的福德和智慧的聚积，比一个大欲妙供养法会的微尘许的福德和智慧的聚积超胜，甚至连十万分之一都比不上。种姓之子，因此，有信心的士夫对于密宗本身，以及安住于密宗的上师及其眷属，以虔诚之心，舍弃虚伪和积蓄，那样的福德和智慧的聚积是无量的。那样的福德和智慧的聚积，即使是遍知佛陀们也无法计数。然后，语狮子这样禀告道：世尊，密咒的功德是不可估量的。善逝，是不可估量的。世尊，然而为了调伏我和未来的众生，如果能请问过去的历史的理由，请赐予机会。秘密主回答说：语狮子，你大胆地向我提问你想要的一切，我将为你讲述。然后，语狮子禀告道：世尊，这个密宗通过耳朵听闻的功德和异熟会变成什么样？秘密主回答说：种姓之子们，听着。这个密宗通过耳朵听闻的功德，仅仅是听到名字也能从恶趣中救脱。那么，如何才能完全了解呢？过去的时候，我回忆起最初的时候，在密宗的次第三层天宫中如法行持，其中有一个名叫光明的儿子，遇到了无常的时期，出现了死亡的预兆。他变得非常不高兴，心中只想着来世会生在哪里。由于那个天子具有神通，他看到自己将要投生到吃不净物的畜生道中，心中生起了极大的恐惧，看到没有其他的救护者，听到了密宗的名字，就这样忆念在心中。那时，名叫光明的儿子从恶趣的

The accumulation of merit and wisdom from a particle of dust from a great offering assembly is superior to the accumulation of merit and wisdom from a particle of dust from a great sensual offering assembly, not even one hundred thousandth can compare. Son of lineage, therefore, the accumulation of merit and wisdom of a faithful person who, with a mind of faith, abandons deceit and accumulation towards the secret vehicle itself, and the lama residing in the secret vehicle and his retinue, is immeasurable. That accumulation of merit and wisdom cannot be counted even by the omniscient Buddhas. Then, the Lion of Speech said this: Blessed One, the qualities of secret mantra are immeasurable. Sugata, they are immeasurable. Blessed One, however, in order to tame myself and future beings, if I may ask about the reasons from past history, please grant me the opportunity. The Lord of Secrets replied: Lion of Speech, boldly ask me whatever you desire, and I will tell you. Then, the Lion of Speech said: Blessed One, what will be the benefit and ripening of hearing this secret vehicle through the ear? The Lord of Secrets replied: Sons of lineage, listen. The benefit of hearing this secret vehicle through the ear is that merely hearing the name will save one from the lower realms. How can one fully understand this? In the past, when I remembered the first time, I was practicing according to the Dharma in the three levels of the secret vehicle's heavenly palace. A son of the gods named Radiant encountered the time of impermanence and signs of death appeared. He became very unhappy and only thought about where he would be born in the next life. Because that son of the gods had clairvoyance, he saw that he would be born into the animal realm of eating impure things. He felt great fear and saw that there was no other protector. He heard the name of the secret vehicle and remembered it in his mind. At that time, the son of the gods named Radiant was from the lower realms.

从那条道路解脱后，便投生到执持秘密乘之处。在那里出生后，也能像享用大集会那样，要知道他成了有福之人。又启请道：秘密之主，对于喜爱、信奉和生起意乐的秘密乘之人，会变成什么样的成熟功德？请作授记。秘密之主说道：对于喜爱、信奉和生起意乐的秘密乘之殊胜之人，无疑会成为持明者的殊胜佛子。那又该如何完全了解呢？过去的时候，我忆念最初之时，有个名叫“婆罗门胜”之子的慈爱者，他喜爱信奉此秘密乘，并生起意乐，因此到处寻觅此秘密乘，却被自己厚重的业障习气所阻碍，未能寻得，便在一个极其寂静的地方，因对秘密极度渴望而哭泣，并说了如下哀叹之语：唉！我的业是如此失败。从最初出生到衰老，努力寻觅秘密之义，却未能寻得秘密，命运真是太差了。现在又该如何寻觅才能寻得呢？即使寻觅也无法寻得，请您慈悲救护我吧！说完后，从虚空中传出如下神变之声：婆罗门之子，你是有福之人。你的意念坚定，非常优秀。你是有意义之福分的人。十方四时的诸佛，请加持于你。自己不要散乱于见解，对于清净习气之方法，必须精通且勤奋。取出自己的血液，以虔诚和清净的旃檀水中，观想并供养一切胜者，便能迅速寻得秘密之义。听闻从虚空中传出的授记后，以极度欢喜之心，从身体的脉中取出血液，供养诸圣众，当下便见到了秘密之义，要知道他成了持明者的殊胜佛子。之后，语狮子又启请道：世尊，秘密之主，进入此秘密乘之门，并见到殊胜的会众坛城的

Having been liberated from that path, one is born in the place of holding the secret vehicle. Having been born there, one should know that one becomes fortunate to enjoy the great assembly. Again, it was requested: Lord of Secrets, what kind of ripening qualities will that person who loves, believes in, and generates aspiration for this secret vehicle become? Please prophesy. The Lord of Secrets said: That noble person who loves, believes in, and generates aspiration for this secret vehicle will undoubtedly become the noble son of the vidyadhara victors. How is that to be fully understood? In the past, when I remembered the first time, there was a loving son of a Brahmin named 'Victorious King,' who loved and believed in this secret vehicle and generated aspiration, so he searched everywhere for this secret vehicle, but he was obstructed by the thick imprints of his own obscurations. He could not find it, and he sat in a very secluded place, weeping with the force of longing for the secret, and spoke these words of lamentation: Alas! My karma is so defeated. From the beginning of birth until old age, I have strived to seek the meaning of the secret, but I have not found the secret, my fate is so bad. Now, how should I seek to find it? Even if I seek, I will not find it. Please have compassion and protect me! After saying this, a miraculous sound arose from the empty sky, saying: Son of a Brahmin, you are fortunate. Your determination is very good. You are fortunate in meaning. The Buddhas of the ten directions and four times, please bless you. Without being distracted from your own view, you must be skilled and diligent in the methods of purifying imprints. Having drawn your own blood, with faith and pure sandalwood water, visualize and offer to all the victors, and you will quickly find the meaning of the secret. Having heard the prophecy from the sky, with a very joyful mind, he drew blood from the veins of his body and offered it to the noble ones, and immediately saw the meaning of the secret. Know that he became the noble son of the vidyadhara victors. Then, the Lion of Speech again requested: Bhagavan, Lord of Secrets, having entered the door of this secret vehicle and seen the noble mandala of the assembly,
