From the essence of the ground, a moment of slight movement, What stirs and arises, the arising and ceasing? The path of enumeration, the growth and change, How could the dharma nature of the path change? For example, any child who walks, Seeking purity by abandoning shadows, With the power of self-nature arising from oneself, Seeking without shadows, purity cannot be found. The meaning itself remains as it is from the beginning, While the mind itself is troubled by various sufferings, Even to the point of physical exhaustion, seeking meaning, Is a meaningless activity of demons. To express meaning in words, Is like arguing with the pure sky. Even medicine and analysis in words, Are of no benefit to the assembly of patients. If the nature of mind is not understood as meaning, Expressing meaning in words does not realize meaning. Seeking transcendence by abandoning samsara, Is like seeking shadows by abandoning form. If asked, what is the nature of the path? Ignorance and wisdom are not different. Non-realization and realization are one on the path. Because this mind appears in various ways, It is one in the various minds. For example, gold is one in essence, But shapes and forms are different. Children call it by their respective names, But even when named, the essence of gold is one. Likewise, in the self-nature of mind, With the distinction of delusion and non-delusion, However one looks, it appears as such, But even when it appears, nothing other than mind is seen. The jewel that burns in a lamp, Even if hidden in a bad hole, Because its qualities naturally appear, Its light will become clear in the sky. Likewise, the mind itself is like a jewel lamp, Even if body and speech are immersed in samsara, Because of self-arising, self-pacifying, and self-appearing, The wisdom dharma nature is clear in the sky. The nature of mind is like the sky, All-pervading, empty, clear, and various things arise. All arising sensations, movement, and cessation, Arise naturally and naturally subside. In short, however one examines and thinks, Everything appears as essence because of change. In the uncreated, unwavering state, Various causes arise without fault, Miraculous displays do not cease, and there is no fear. Just like the nature of the sky, Simply rest the mind without distraction. This is the great meaning of a noble being. This mind is the essence of the arising of Buddhas Of all three times. If one knows and becomes familiar With such a meaning after a long time, The warmth of the experience of seeing definitive meaning Is also a great sign of meeting the meaning. Eight kinds of instructions from the oral tradition will appear, And one will surely experience the three meanings. The warmth of those who have reached the top

This is the manifestation of a great sign. The warmth that arises from this, Compassion arises for the laws of samsara, And the Bodhicitta will also arise. For all the phenomena that cling to characteristics, A perception of disbelief arises. Phenomena should be like this, It is wonderful to be so confused. A sense of wonder and inquiry arises. Beings do not understand this meaning,

Because it is mind. Because it is wise, it is wisdom. Because it is clear, it is samadhi. Because it is reached, it is the place. Because it is unparalleled, it is the most excellent. Because it is wonderful, it is supreme. Because it is noble, it is the best. Because there is no dominion, it is unsurpassed. Because it is deep, it is profound. Because it is hidden, it is secret. Because it is subtle, it is unfathomable. Because it is the source of all beings, it is Dharma. Because it suppresses the earth, it is a Bodhisattva. Because it is ultimate, it is Buddha. Because of that great-minded one, this path of yoga should be known. This path is the basis of all dharmas. It is the mother of all Buddhas. Why is that? Because all dharmas arise from this, it is the basis. The ultimate path of the Buddha has passed away from here. Now, emptiness also departs from this path. Therefore, this path should be known. Thus, therefore, this path can also be called the father of all Tathagatas. Likewise, it can also be called mother, and it can be called son, and it can be called master. It can also be called lineage, and it can be called life, and it can be called wealth, and it can be called servant, and it can be called body, and it can be called speech, and it can be called mind, and it can be called qualities, and it can be called great deeds. Why is that? Because of great skillful means, great wisdom, great Bodhi, great freedom, suchness, difficult to overcome, the nature of Dharma is inexhaustible, great compassion, extreme splendor, showing various things, knowing in all places, arising in all places, and because of various deeds, it should be known that they are so. Therefore, this path should also be completely known. Likewise, it can also be called great desire. It can also be called great livelihood, it can also be called great enjoyment, it can also be called great equipment, it can also be called cause, it can also be called condition, it can also be called fruit, it can also be called conduct, it can also be called miracles, it can also be called mudra, it can also be called approach, it can also be called close approach, it can also be called practice, it can also be called great practice, and great assembly.
