Alas, also. The mantras of the gurus and yidam deities, The mantras of the dakinis and others are gathered. Therefore, the types of mantras are described. The types of guru mantras are: There are definite and indefinite. The number and truth are also the same, The definite ones are drawn from their respective treatises, They are the meaning and essence of the tantras. The indefinite ones, with their own skillful wisdom, Take the basis from the name, and also from the practice, By adding syllables such as Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) and Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), Transforming from similar types and clear tones, Thus, pure mantras arise. The form of mantras with straightforward meaning is: To fulfill the wishes of sentient beings, Accomplished through variable prayers, All are initiated with faith. The mantra of true suchness, By the yogi who is free from elaboration, Possesses the essence of that mantra, The qualities of the wind are perfected, Is skilled in enjoying mantras.

Accomplished. In short, the number of mantras of the Lama, is held by faith and reverence. The number of mantras of the Yidams also, is certainly held by diligence. All the categories of mantras of the Dakinis, are held by the son born from the hand of vows, not otherwise. All the subtle categories of limbs, arise naturally from their space. Many categories without words, because they are not categories of mantras, do not belong to the count. Because they arise truly at the point, therefore each seed syllable and life syllable, in order to generate whatever desired fruit, does not depend on words but depends on meaning. All categories of meaningful mantras, are perfectly complete in one. From the precious dragon sound of the speech lineage of all Lamas, Yidams, and Dakinis, this is the fifth chapter explaining the categories of mantras. Athi+i. Listen, all of you, the retinue of self-arisen wisdom. The order of actual mantras is as follows: Whatever mantra of the Lama, deity, and Dakini, etc., is recited, first of all, all are entered with Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡). Likewise, the entry of Nama, and Tadyatha and Namo, without stirring and reversing, is determined by the common teachings. The mantra depends on the final Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) and Phat (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪特), both, and Svaha (藏文:སྭཱ་ཧཱ,梵文天城体:स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:svāhā,汉语字面意思:梭哈), and Hring (藏文:ཧྲིང་,梵文天城体:ह्रीं,梵文罗马拟音:hrīṃ,汉语字面意思:赫利), Bhyo (藏文:བྷྱོ,梵文天城体:भ्यो,梵文罗马拟音:bhyo,汉语字面意思:布尤) and Rbadnan, and Jah (藏文:ཛཿ,梵文天城体:जः,梵文罗马拟音:jaḥ,汉语字面意思:匝), etc., in many ways, in the manner of being based on the end, whatever is appropriate is filled in. Mantras and curses, and prayers and related things, all are actual mantras, so know this. Furthermore, the categories of actions are, mantras are uncertain and inconceivable. Those without beginning and end are not mantras, sages and Brahmins, etc., are known as curse mantras of action. In the accomplishment of common actions, many kinds of mantras arise. When a mantra of one syllable arises, whatever arises is an unborn mantra, said to be the mantra of one's own vital life. Arranging the letters of life, etc., is a mantra that engages seeds in action. Do not indulge in words but focus on the point. The mantra that counts one's own life as essence, is the mantra of the vow letters. Arrows, spears, etc., are unique, whatever fierce strike is completely ruined. One stone drives away flocks of birds, likewise, the syllable mantra of the vital point of life, is the one that can accomplish the work of the king. Although there are many meaningless mantra syllables, they are not mantras.
