Homage to the Wisdom Mind. From the Great Perfection View, the Tantra of Profound Wisdom, the eighteenth chapter, which teaches the spontaneous liberation without abandoning afflictions. Then again, he spoke to the assembled retinue: The qualities of the Buddha, with marks and signs, the powers and fearlessness, the eighteen dharmas, are now obscured by the body. Just as a great garuda with wings fully grown inside an egg cannot fly until the egg is broken, so too, even a yogi who realizes his own mind as the dharmakaya cannot manifest great qualities in this body. Through the common method of combining medicines, with herbal compounds and the essence extracted from mountain essences, when this body is nourished and grows, poisons and weapons cannot harm it, and after accomplishment, flying in the sky like a bird occurs. The mind's direct perception manifests in dreams. Because this body is a place, it is not the mind. Although signs appear because of the temporary connection, until this flesh and blood body is abandoned, it is impossible for the great qualities of the Buddha to arise. Again, Vajra, son of mind, listen! Even those who have attained self-benefit are obscured by the body because of skillful means. Just as smoke arises when there is fire, when those uncorrected minds become clear, all the great qualities arise effortlessly. The Buddha himself, in the city of Kushinagar, abandoned his own body, so what need is there to mention sentient beings? Therefore, the Bhagavan also, on the Vajra Throne, again became a Buddha, possessing marks and signs, and all the great qualities were spontaneously perfected. From the Great Perfection View, the Tantra of Profound Wisdom, the nineteenth chapter, which teaches that the qualities of the Buddha do not arise at this time. Then again, he spoke to the assembled retinue: When one's own mind, the nature of reality, becomes clear, the dharmakaya is perfected by the great assembly of wisdom. Just as when the ocean is clear and free from impurities, the reflection of the sky appears without ceasing, from the nature of reality arises the stream of enjoyment and wisdom, and its emanations are the various nirmanakayas. Again, Vajra, son of mind, listen with your mind! Even if water is filtered through a sieve, there is no reflection. Likewise, in the very nature of mind, even if Samantabhadra Buddha himself searches for a form,

It is impossible to attain Buddhahood from a body of desire, and a collection of merit cannot produce a form body. The Buddha's form body, which demonstrates the nine stages, appears to tame individual inclinations, but it is shown as a path to realizing the Dharmakaya. Doing the work of beings through the power of aspiration, what is established by the minds of lower beings is not the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. Therefore, if one does not realize one's own mind, even with virtuous deeds, like a causeless result not arising, even if one accumulates collections for thousands of kalpas, the result of the Buddha's form body will not arise. Furthermore, listen, all you faithful gathered assembly. Like a golden serpent's eyes experiencing the five qualities of desire at once, the yogi realizes the Svabhavikakaya, which is the Dharmakaya. To that, with awareness, the Sambhogakaya is perfected. In various ways, the Nirmanakaya is clearly manifested. Because it is difficult to conceive without karma, it is the secret body. Because wisdom and reality are one, it is manifest enlightenment. These are the arising of the five qualities of one, so there is no need to seek the benefit of beings from the Buddha. For sentient beings, one's own mind is the Dharmakaya. From the Great Perfection Wisdom Profound Tantra, the twentieth chapter, which teaches that if the Dharmakaya is realized, the Rupakaya will arise. Then, the omniscient teacher, for the gathered assembly, gave instructions on how to eliminate doubts and obstacles. The general characteristic of samsara and nirvana is mind. If realized, everything is, so if not realized, it is not. For the essence of Ati Mahayana to be complete, any certainty of existence or non-existence is a fault of permanence or annihilation. Uncertainty is the key to reversing cause and effect. Not attaining Buddhahood is the state of great compassion. Furthermore, listen with your mind, you assembled gathering. All phenomena of the world and beyond, the basis of both is determined to be the essence of the Dharmakaya. The appearance of objects is uncertain and diverse. Because there is no acceptance or rejection, all phenomena are spontaneously accomplished. The chief of the gathered essence asked the meaning: If the object is mind and mind is the object, then if the object is the object, suffering arises in the object. If mind is the object, then self-awareness becomes inert. Not knowing acceptance or rejection, the mind of attachment arises. Therefore, the Great Perfection Dharmakaya is the supreme Dharma. Furthermore, listen with your mind, you essence of the assembly. The object is the fault of acceptance, rejection, and attachment.
