唉，秘密的主人！众生六道在五道中受生，即天、阿修罗、人三善道，以及地狱、饿鬼、畜生三恶道。地狱有三种：八热地狱、八寒地狱、近边地狱和孤独地狱共三种。八热地狱为：复活地狱、黑绳地狱、众合地狱、叫唤地狱、大叫唤地狱、烧热地狱、极热地狱、无间地狱。痛苦无法忍受，时间极其漫长。在复活地狱中，被具有山羊头或狮子头般的两者之间挤压而死。在黑绳地狱中，从腹背画线后用锯子锯开。在众合地狱中，被置于铁或铜的容器中，从天空降下铁锤猛击。在叫唤地狱中，被置于燃烧的铁室中，从四面八方由业力的风点燃。大叫唤地狱是身体尚未被火触及就被烧焦。烧热地狱是身体被火燃烧。极热地狱是心肝肺被火燃烧。无间地狱是身体僵硬，被火燃烧，从四面八方焚烧。时间漫长是指在铁山上，每隔百年，鸟的翅膀拂过一次，直到铁山耗尽，复活地狱的寿命才算结束。八寒地狱为：疱生地狱、疱裂地狱、阿啾啾地狱、呼呼地狱、裂唇地狱、青莲花地狱、红莲花地狱、大红莲花地狱。在疱生地狱中，被置于铁室中，铁室像筛子一样布满孔洞，从四面八方被业力的风吹拂，自己的身体长满拇指大小的疱。在疱裂地狱中，疱一旦破裂，就会流出脓血。在阿啾啾地狱中，因寒冷逼迫，只能发出“阿啾啾”的声音。在呼呼地狱中，只能发出哀嚎哭泣的声音。在裂唇地狱中，牙齿陷入牙龈，连声音都发不出来。青莲花地狱是水疱裂成十字形。红莲花地狱是水疱破裂后向外翻卷。大红莲花地狱是像乌都拉花一样，根细花大，全部向外绽放。

Alas, Lord of Secrets! Sentient beings of the six realms take bodies in the five paths, namely the three good realms of gods, asuras, and humans, and the three lower realms of hells, hungry ghosts, and animals. There are three types of hells: eight hot hells, eight cold hells, and the neighboring and solitary hells, making three in total. The eight hot hells are: the Reviving Hell, the Black Line Hell, the Crushing Hell, the Crying Hell, the Great Crying Hell, the Burning Hell, the Very Hot Hell, and the Uninterrupted Hell. The suffering is unbearable and the time is extremely long. In the Reviving Hell, one is crushed to death between two beings with the heads of goats or lions. In the Black Line Hell, lines are drawn on the back and abdomen, and then sawn apart with a saw. In the Crushing Hell, one is placed inside a vessel of iron or copper, and struck from the sky by a great iron hammer. In the Crying Hell, one is placed in a burning iron chamber, and fire is ignited from all directions by the winds of karma. The Great Crying Hell is where the body is scorched before it is even touched by fire. The Burning Hell is where the body is burned by fire. The Very Hot Hell is where the liver, heart, and lungs are burned by fire. The Uninterrupted Hell is where the body is stiff, burned by fire, and incinerated from all directions. The long duration refers to the iron mountain where, every hundred years, a bird's wing brushes against it once, until the iron mountain is exhausted, only then does the life of the Reviving Hell come to an end. The eight cold hells are: the Blister Hell, the Bursting Blister Hell, the Achuchu Hell, the Huhu Hell, the Chattering Teeth Hell, the Blue Lotus Hell, the Red Lotus Hell, and the Great Red Lotus Hell. In the Blister Hell, one is placed in an iron chamber, and the chamber is full of holes like a sieve, and blown from all directions by the winds of karma, so that one's body is filled with blisters the size of thumbs. In the Bursting Blister Hell, when the blisters burst, pus and blood flow out. In the Achuchu Hell, due to the pressure of cold, one can only utter the sound "Achuchu." In the Huhu Hell, one can only utter sounds of wailing and crying. In the Chattering Teeth Hell, the teeth are embedded in the gums, and not even a sound can be uttered. The Blue Lotus Hell is where the blisters burst in the shape of a cross. The Red Lotus Hell is where the blisters burst and turn outwards. The Great Red Lotus Hell is like the Utpala flower, with thin roots and large flowers, all blooming outwards.

Connected by water veins with subtle nutrients. The long-lived one is a container filled with a large amount of sesame seeds. Every hundred years, one sesame seed is taken out. The solar wheel hell is a pit of burning embers entered from the eastern gate. To the south is an endless river of ashes, to the west is a swamp of decay, and to the north is a forest of sword leaves. Thinking that it is better to die here than to suffer the pain inside, one jumps into the pit of fire. The whole body turns to ashes. The endless river of ashes, the ashes cover below the waist, making it difficult to walk. The swamp of decay, a huge swamp covering below the knees, making it difficult to walk, with iron-beaked worms gnawing at the feet. The forest of sword leaves, suffering from the cold, one goes to a dark place, all the leaves turn into swords and fall on the body. The duration is one intermediate kalpa each. There are four types of pretas: outer-obstructed pretas, inner-obstructed pretas, door-hole-obstructed pretas, and common-obstructed pretas. Outer-obstructed pretas, all edible things are seen as pus and blood, which is due to being stingy with one's own wealth. Inner-obstructed pretas, the mouth is as small as a needle's eye, the neck is as thin as a bowstring, but the stomach is as large as Mount Sumeru, so they cannot find food. Even if they find it, they cannot contain it. Even if they contain a little, it is of no use, which is due to being stingy with others' wealth. Door-hole-obstructed pretas, the mouth is as small as a needle's eye, and they do not want to go to get food. When they finally go to get it, it turns into an iron ball, burning in the stomach until it melts into ghee, which is due to encroaching on the wealth and ransom of the Three Jewels. Common-obstructed pretas, holding weapons to guard food and not giving it to others, which is due to stinginess and poverty. The long-lived ones can live for five thousand human years. The sufferings of animals are of three types: the suffering of mutual devouring, the suffering of slaughter, and the suffering of servitude.
