Dharmakaya and space! Why is that, son of lineage? Because these two are different. Space, pure in its nature, possesses the nature of four colors and forms, as well as the nature of the four elements, yet it is not separate from habituation, because its essence is ignorant emptiness. The great bindu of Dharmakaya, although in accord with emptiness, is different from all of those. Therefore, it is liberated from oneness and otherness. The liberation that is not liberated is: mind and wisdom, liberation is the single ground. Mind is clear with conceptualization, while wisdom abides without conceptualization. Therefore, from the perspective of function, it is not liberated. The liberation that is not liberated is: bindu and object, bindu is awareness without cessation, and object abides in ignorant emptiness, so it is not liberated. Liberation is not like a difference in entities, but abides in emptiness without separation, it is clear and unobstructed, transcending separate expressions. Therefore, it is the liberation that is not liberated. Thus it is said. From the Great All-Illuminating Bindu, the teaching that explains the meaning of the four extremes, which is the forty-fourth chapter. Then again, the Lord of Secrets asked: Kye kye, Bhagavan Vajradhara! Please speak about the meaning of sound. Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: In all the tantras and agamas that I have spoken, sounds may appear in various ways, but the essence of sound is the Indian A(梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉字字面意思:阿)and the Tibetan A(藏文: འ,梵文天城体:无,梵文罗马拟音:无,汉字字面意思:无). It is the accomplisher, the eliminator of others, and the condition that has benefit. It has been taught that it is condensed into four aspects. The essence of sound, when Vimalamitra was translating this source at Samye (桑耶寺), he considered the essence of Tibetan sound. Replacing the Indian A with the Tibetan A, this is the usual writing. The essence of sound is the Tibetan A and the Indian A. These two are the source of both Tibetan and Indian sound. How do they arise? These two are unborn as non-duality. These two are immutable, so it is Sa (ས). Between these two, wisdom is unceasing and self-arising, so it is Ha (ཧ). From that, wisdom arises, so Sha (ཤ) arises. Both of these are feminine, and the two bodies that appear in whatever way arise from compassion, so it is Ka (ཀ). It does not go beyond the nature of the sphere, and abides within the nature, so it is Kha (ཁ). These two are uninterrupted, so it is Ga (ག). From these two non-duality, everything arises, so it is Nga (ང). These two are the source of everything.

Because of this, ཙ arises. Experiencing non-duality, hence ཚ. Holding with uninterrupted compassion, the two are inseparable, hence ཛ. 阿 is awareness, hence ཏ. Abiding in the base, ultimately becoming the end, hence ས. Non-dual, unconditioned knowable, hence ད. Arising from wisdom, hence ཉ. When not realized, appearing as mind, hence ན. Non-dual, is the Dharmakaya, hence པ. Method appearing uninterruptedly, hence ཕ. Appearing as the playful body, hence བ. The compassion of the two, the three bodies accomplished in the base, hence ཡ. Inseparable from compassion, hence ར. Everything spreading and gathering from the two, hence ལ. From the two arising realization and non-realization, hence ཊ is both direct and inverted. Therefore, the Tibetan འ and the Indian ཨ, are the limits of sound or the collection of sounds, etc. The method of accomplishing the two is: accomplishing the purity of all the letters of ཨ and འ. འ accomplishes all freedom from elaboration. The two are connected, hence long, i.e., accomplishing without interruption. Connected with ཧ, hence great, i.e., accomplishing without effort. Letters arising by self-repetition, hence thick, i.e., accomplishing without birth and death. Connected with ཧ and the subscript letter ང, hence short, i.e., gathering. ཛ is its aiding condition. པར, ཏ, ས, ར, etc., are expanding, hence accomplishing. པ and ཏ are its aiding conditions. All inversions accomplish non-commonality. All self-natures accomplish limits. Similarly, everything arising from འ and ཨ has one-sided meaning, accomplishing one-sided meaning. This abides as the accomplisher of sound. The bases of these འ and ཨ are different, eliminating one side, eliminating the different aspects of each door, hence other-emptiness. Through the magical ways of these, each becomes a helper in accomplishing its own meaning, and generally becomes a helper in accomplishing the qualities of the base, therefore, sound is an aiding condition. Thus it is said. In the Great All-Illuminating Bindu, the meaning of sound is explained and shown, i.e., the fifty-fifth chapter. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked: Ee! Ee! Blessed One, endowed with compassion and method, all the words of the tantras, agamas, and instructions spoken above are explained in this way, but the subtle syllables
