The uninterrupted continuum. Thus it was said. Then again, yoga was spoken: The three bodies being inseparable is, the one who delights in meaning is yoga. Great yoga is realized as transcending meditation, for the sake of realization there is no action, abiding in the state of great self-radiance is, the great lord of yoga, transcending action. That meaning abiding in oneself is, the unsurpassed yoga. The essence of yogas is also, the non-dual intention. The meaning of the word yoga is also, mind and reality being non-dual richness, the three bodies being inseparable, hence it is called richness. If divided, there are two kinds, I have spoken of name and meaning. The yoga of meaning is as shown above. Thus it was said. From the Great Collection of Clear Points, the chapter on showing offerings and yoga, is the eighty-first. Then again, the Lord of Secrets asked: How are mantra and mudra? Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: Vajra Holder, listen well! First, explain the meaning of mantra: Being supreme is the meaning of mantra. Essence, definition, and distinctions have been shown. There are three kinds of distinctions: secret mantra, knowledge mantra, and dharani mantra. The essence of secret mantras is, wisdom and compassion are both taught. The essence of knowledge mantras is, wisdom and primordial wisdom are. The essence of dharani mantras is, wisdom and samadhi are. The meaning of the three mantras is, it is spoken there for the sake of knowing and protecting. The function of the three mantras is, to eliminate the habitual tendencies of the base and to eliminate ignorance and false discriminations, it is to eliminate the arising habitual tendencies. Thus it was said. The Teacher also taught the mudra: The essence of the great mudra is, the unchanging nature. The definition of the great mudra is, it is mudra because it does not pass away. The distinction is the collection of outer and inner. There are four mudras and five roots. Here, having collected, four are shown: Being separate from dharma is the dharmakaya, it is said to be the great mudra. Self-awareness and primordial wisdom arise from the expanse, the expanse itself is endowed with awareness, the non-duality of expanse and primordial wisdom is, it is said to be the samaya mudra. Self-arisen primordial wisdom is uninterrupted, because it is clear it is the dharma mudra. The two bodies of compassion are uninterrupted, non-conceptual compassion.

Therefore, act accordingly. This is shown as the mudra of action. The example of the mudra is like the sky, and when the king affixes the royal seal, one cannot transcend it. If it is not mantra, wisdom is uninterrupted; if it is not mudra, great compassion is uninterrupted. Thus it is said. From "The Great Illumination of the Clear Bindu." The teaching of mantra and mudra is the forty-ninth chapter. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked: How are recitation and accomplishment performed? The Teacher replied: Vajrapani, listen well! The view of self-aware primordial wisdom is established by four introductions. Personally experience one's own nature. This is shown as the meaning of recitation. Abiding on the path is near recitation. When the path is liberated, it is accomplishment. When the fruit of the path reaches the end, it becomes great accomplishment. Mantras are not recited, but held in meaning; mudras are not meditated upon or generated, but are spontaneously perfect. Thus it is said. From "The Great Illumination of the Clear Bindu." The teaching of the two, recitation and accomplishment, is the seventieth chapter. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked: Alas, alas, Bhagavan Vajradhara! The great teachings spoken from your mouth, please speak of the methods of explanation. Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: Vajradhara, listen well! I have explained the greatness of the teachings. Because they are spoken from the mouth of the Teacher and do not rely on other teachings, the certainty of the teachings is very great. Because the Teacher's mind is completely pure, there is no cause in the beginning, no condition in the middle, and no change in the end. The unchanging, sky-like teaching is the most excellent. Because faults are exhausted, one does not speak falsehoods. Because there is no cause, it is the truth spoken from the mouth. Because the Teacher is the nature of wisdom, the words and meanings are skillful, and do not deviate from suchness. Therefore, the certainty of the teachings is very great. For the sake of the meaning of Garab Dorje, who has surpassed all retinues, the teachings spoken from the mouth of the Teacher are written without error on precious golden pages, with lapis lazuli ink, written neatly and accurately, without any errors in the words. This is the greatness of the teachings. The three aspects of the generation stage and the completion stage, the intention of no gathering or separation, like the appearance of leaves, flowers, and fruits, are shown as non-different. They are in accordance with all mantras, and the general teachings of mantras do not contradict each other.
