Shar te. The primordial Buddha in the five dharmata, the five wisdoms and three bodies, is superior because it abides everywhere. It is great because the earth, water, fire, and wind are perfectly pure. Thus it was said. Again, Vajrapani asked: How is the self-nature Buddha great? Thus he asked. The Teacher said: The five elements that are the vessel of the Nirmanakaya, because of the dharmata arising from itself, not confused about karma, the field of means, grasping and fixation not abiding, perfectly pure, the self-nature is great because it manifestly attains Buddhahood for its own benefit. The appearance of the five skandhas is also the body of the Buddhas of the five families. The five bodies blaze with precious light. Without seeking, it is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning in oneself. Self-nature is great because wisdom is self-appearing. The appearance of the eight consciousnesses is also the eight bodhisattvas, complete in oneself. It is not other, it is great because it is self-appearing. The eight objects of the eight consciousnesses are also the eight mind-mothers appearing in oneself. Without seeking, it is spontaneously accomplished in oneself. Self-nature is great because wisdom is self-appearing. Arising from itself and appearing from itself, because it is its own radiance, it is separate from objects. In the great self-appearance without objects, it is impossible to go, therefore it is greater than all. Because it is its own nature, it cannot be sought. It is great because it is spontaneously accomplished without seeking. It is great because one does not cultivate oneself in oneself, therefore it transcends effort and accomplishment. It is great because the meaning of self-appearance is inseparable. It is great because it cannot be purified on the unchanging ground. It is great because it is impossible to go, therefore there is no focus on the path. All dharmas are great in self-nature. Inferior ones do not know this. Therefore, it is said to be great in self-nature. Thus it was said. Again, the Lord of Secrets asked: How is that very Buddha great? Thus he asked. The Teacher said: That which is thus determined is superior to all four symbolic signs, therefore it is great as an example. Because the appearance of wisdom is clear on the water of the far-flung net, it is great as a sign. The four signs are definitely examples. Because the three bodies are inseparable, it is great in meaning. The lamp of wisdom is definitely a sign. Therefore, it is great because of the three certainties. First, it is great because the Teacher and others gathered and determined it, therefore it is great because of the five reasons. Thus it was said. Again, Vajrapani asked: How is the Buddha of all great? Thus he asked. The Teacher said: In the unchanging Dharmakaya of self-awareness, because there is no object of focus, it transcends thought. Because it cannot be meditated upon, it is superior in distinction. The Dharmakaya is empty and clear without substance. Focus.

Since there is no place to be taken as an object, it is superior because it is non-dual. For the non-substantial and peaceful awareness, there are no objects of elaboration and characteristics. Self-radiance is vast and superior, the self-aware Dharmakaya is non-dual and vast, and it is superior and vast because it has no direction or time. The Dharmakaya is self-born wisdom, and because it has no causes and conditions, it is not fabricated, and it is superior and vast because it has no change. Self-awareness is free from the five stains, and all are originally enlightened Buddhas. Thus it was said. In the Great Luminous Bindu, it is shown that the five greatnesses surpass the eight vehicles, which is the fifty-fourth chapter. Then, the Lord of Secrets again asked: Kye Kye! Bhagavan Vajradhara! The distinctions of the nine vehicles are explained in conjunction with the vessels of those to be tamed. What are its faults and obscurations? Thus he asked. The Teacher said: Vajradhara, well done! The faults and obscurations of the nine vehicles, the distinctions are inconceivable, but in summary there are thirty-six. View, conduct, meditation, and result are four. The three categories of characteristics have many obscurations. Thirty-six, twenty-two, and twenty-eight have a sequence. Twelve wrong paths abide in eight and four. The three categories of outsiders have the same faults and obscurations. Twelve obscurations are cut off by darkness. The twelve faults and obscurations of transgressions are cut off by darkness. There are twelve wrong paths of transgressions. The two categories of insiders have many wrong paths. Thirty-two and twenty-eight are cut off in sequence. Obscurations abide in four and six. In the single Great Perfection Bindu, there is no duality of fault and non-fault. The nature of the wrong path is completely pure, completely free, and nothing is abandoned. The view, meditation, conduct, and result of Ati are originally non-dual, so there is no fault or obscuration of summarizing into two. The four of view, meditation, conduct, and result are originally self-arisen and non-dual, so there is no fault or obscuration of the aggregation of causes and conditions. The Great Perfection view, meditation, and conduct, the result is spontaneously accomplished, so there is no effort of meditation, hope, and fear, and the wrong path and obscurations are completely purified. There is nothing other than me, so it is the unobstructed and clear wisdom. The manifestation below the eight vehicles is also my compassionate activity. Abiding in the wisdom of non-differentiation, in the perfect wisdom that is not mixed with nature, the wrong path of falling is completely purified. In the self-illumination of non-differentiating wisdom, fault and obscuration are clearly non-differentiated. Thus it was said.
