At that moment of asking, Vajradhara spoke thus: The essence of the self-aware Dharmakaya is the supreme, unerring view. Examples, logic, terminology, introduction, view, meditation, conduct, result, delusion, realization, and habituation are merely conditions for the path of the less intelligent. In reality, they are not established but merely imputed. Is the essence the wisdom of Dharmakaya? Or the activity of self-arisen wisdom? Within the essence of the self-aware Dharmakaya, there is neither samsara nor nirvana. There is no basis, no path, no result. There is no vehicle, no individual. There is no dharma, no non-dharma. There is no cause or result of samsara. The cause is the manifestation of dualistic ignorance, and there are no conditions or foundations. The result is that there is no desire, hatred, or delusion, pride, or jealousy. There are no five poisons or afflictions. There are no sentient beings in the six realms of samsara. There are no outer five elements. There is no earth, water, fire, or wind. Even space is merely imputed. Thus, there is neither container nor contents. Samsara is merely imputed by delusion. There is neither samsara nor nirvana. Buddhas are imputed by realization, but in the essence of the Dharmakaya, there is no Buddha, no increase, nothing at all. There is no destruction, no possession, no passing away. There is no enlightenment, no attainment, no bodhisattva. There is no Thus Come One, no gone one. There is no Arhat, no exhaustion of defilements. There is nothing to be abandoned, no place of abandonment, nothing to be attained, no place of attainment. There is not even a particle of the name of Buddha. Therefore, there is no spoken path or vehicle. There are no five paths or ten bhumis. There are no nine vehicles, no cause and effect, inner or outer. There is no path of means or path of liberation. There is neither gradual nor sudden. There is no meditation or non-meditation, no action or non-action. There are no deities, mandalas, samadhi, projection, or dissolution. There is existence and non-existence, appearance and emptiness. There is one and many, permanence and annihilation. There is happiness and unhappiness, pleasant and unpleasant. There is gain and no gain, accomplishment and non-accomplishment. There is Buddhahood and non-Buddhahood. There is action and non-action, and so on, nothing at all. Desire and non-desire arise from autonomy, creating duality. But in reality, there is no dualistic action. In the realm of the mind, there is not a particle of acceptance or rejection. It is impossible to establish non-existence by negating existence. It is impossible to establish existence by negating non-existence. In short, it is free from all elaborations of extremes. Skillful display on objects is elaboration. Grasping at one side is called an extreme. Running wild on objects creates attachment.

Without a place to stay. Not falling to the extremes. Separated from all extremes of elaboration. Transcending intellect and the realm of mind. Actions done by the body and words spoken by the mouth. Thoughts conceived by the mind and deliberations pondered by the heart are all transcended. The activity of self-aware Dharmakaya. Is merely a designation, in reality, there is nothing like it. The three Kayas, five wisdoms, and so forth. Are merely shown as representations. Enlightenment is not something to be achieved, nor is there anything to achieve. These are one's own nature. Awareness is merely designated as Dharmakaya. The view is the same. Have great faith in that. Inexpressible, inconceivable, free from extremes. The basis from the aspect of being primordially present. Not realizing that, confusion arises. Realizing that is a metaphor and an introduction. How seeing the basis is the view. Clarifying the meaning of seeing is meditation. That itself is continuously carried through the three times. It is merely designated as conduct. Manifestation is shown as the result. At the time of carrying the view on the path. The three, nature, ability, and co-emergence. The aspect of external environmental conditions arising. Because there is no establishment in reality. Self-appearance, self-liberation, are non-existent. Objects cannot harm the true meaning. The great confidence is the same. Thus it was said. From the great tantra of clarifying the meaning of freedom from elaboration. The chapter on repeating the view, the fifty-seventh, is complete. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked: Kye Kye, Bhagavan Vajradhara. How is it, is there meditation or not? Thus he asked. Then the Teacher spoke: Vajradhara, listen well! In the great bliss of non-duality that I have taught. The terms of whether there is meditation or not. All should be completely abandoned. With the great power of wisdom, realizing the meaning of self-awareness. In the nature of non-dual great bliss, there is no gathering or scattering. Abiding without searching, although not moving from the nature. Yet like the Ganges river, it is continuous. For those with excellent faculties, it is taught for that purpose. For individuals with middling faculties. It is taught not to meditate and to meditate. For yogis with weak wisdom and abilities. It is taught that without meditating, one cannot become enlightened. Kye, Lord of Secrets, be sure to listen! Just as a lotus remains in the mud but is not stained by faults. Although outer and inner confusion may arise. Self-awareness is primordially unstained. Not being confused is Buddhahood. Son of the lineage, the basis being pure is the Dharmakaya. The result being pure, adorned with the two Rupakayas. The meaning, the three Kayas, without gathering or scattering, like the inside of a vase.
