When traced to the source, the essence lies in the ground. The ground itself is firmly grasped by awareness, hence it is called "recognition." Recognizing the ground itself is the supreme view. If traced upwards, samsara will cease on its own. From what do these samsaras arise? Samsara arises from causes and conditions. If the cause of samsara is traced, it will immediately increase. That also arises from the condition of an object. The object is conditioned by an object. The object is conditioned by the condition of a master. The master is connected with the mind's clinging. The master arises from the condition of a cause. Wind agitates the mind, which is the condition of a cause. The two causes of samsara are as follows: Ignorance has two forms: the ignorance of imputation, which arises from clinging to the five lights. Co-emergent, is when clarity appears as five lights, but one does not recognize that it is self-manifesting. Those movements generate four minds: movement, agitation, feeling, and separation, these four minds arise from the cause and condition of ignorance. Action, acts from light to objects. Feeling, feels the appearance of light. Agitation, wind agitates the intellectual capacity. Movement, the ground is moved by the wind. Wind is the nature of one's own awareness. The characteristic of wind is agitation. The nature of awareness is the agitating wind. From the wind, the five elements are naturally formed. Gathering wind is water. Ripening wind is fire. Solidifying wind is earth. Each one is complete in itself. Awareness possesses five wisdoms, its nature manifests five lights. Those are considered to be external objects. The ground is extensively explained, the tantras explain it clearly. Definite grasping is shown here, directly showing recognition. The root of mind and causes and conditions, is the basis of all samsara and nirvana. Its recognition is like this: (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Chinese literal meaning)All samsara and nirvana arise from that. The nature of the ground has two aspects: wind and light, appearing as two. The ground is without movement, while the nature is the unceasing movement of wind. Due to movement, agitation arises. Agitation feels the appearance of light. Because one does not recognize that light as self-manifesting, co-emergent ignorance arises. Not recognizing self-manifestation, one separates it into objects. That is called the separating mind. Clinging to light, the ignorance of imputation arises. The nature is transformed into mind,

Also made cause, also made condition. Cause is what is called condition. The moving mind is the one with wind, generating samsara and becoming the lord of samsara. If extinguished, then he becomes the lord. Whatever is produced, the lord does it. He makes the condition, the condition of the lord. Movement is the condition focused on light. After measuring it with confusion, the moment is the condition of that. Thus, because it generates samsara, it has been explained very clearly before. The basis itself is the recognition of encounter. From the Dharmakaya that is clear from the basis, abandoning the way of extinction, just like relying on others. Thus it is said. From the Great Clear Meaning Tantra of Freedom from Elaborations, from the cause of samsara to expulsion, from the root to severance, the chapter of recognition, the forty-seventh chapter. The Lord of Secrets again asked: O Bhagavan Vajradhara, please explain with compassion the distinction of the three times. When he asked thus, Vajradhara said: Listen, Secret Lord Vajradhara, distinguishing the three times and recognizing, in the mindstream of one person, although consciousness is inconceivable, it is gathered into four consciousnesses. The consciousness of the three times and the consciousness of timeless realization. If one can recognize the consciousness of the three times, then the consciousness of tracing the past, and the consciousness of welcoming the future, and the consciousness that arises in the present, the five doors flowing into the objects. The consciousness of sudden arising of meaning, thought, and discrimination. The consciousness of tracing the past is the remembrance of what was done before in the mind. The consciousness of welcoming the future is the remembrance of the future in the mind. The present thought, discrimination, and sudden arising are generated by the five doors in the objects, thus the consciousness of realization. Those three are the dharmas of samsara, those three with the consciousness of sudden arising, selflessness, grasping liberation, the three times, unmade, uncultivated, undefiled, self-born, originally abiding, that itself is the wisdom of consciousness. That is recognized with excellence, Had de Wale Sale Wa itself. From that self-born wisdom, without cause and condition, it is self-born. That itself is the wisdom of consciousness. Thus it is said. From the Great Clear Meaning Tantra of Freedom from Elaborations, the chapter of distinguishing the three times and recognizing, the forty-eighth chapter. After that, the Lord of Secrets again asked: O Bhagavan Vajradhara.
