The basis of all things is the self-nature of consciousness. Depending on this, all matters can be gathered. All accomplishments also arise from the practice of one's own consciousness. All Buddhas are born, and all obstacles and delusions are self-destroyed by one's own nature. All desires, both supreme and non-supreme, increase from the self-consciousness that is like a wish-fulfilling jewel. The complete accumulation of all qualities is the self-nature of the supreme secret. The nature of samsara and nirvana is the indivisible self-nature of all dharmas. The mind of enlightenment is the great ancestor of all past Buddhas. It is also the nature of the body, speech, and mind of the present moment, with all inexhaustible wheels turning within itself. Its own appearance does not exist elsewhere, and it is called the great expanse of appearance, which is the mind of the perfectly enlightened Buddhas. From the reliquary of wisdom, light is without attachment, self-appearing, and dwells without clinging. No matter how memory and awareness appear, there is no need to fabricate them; consciousness is vast. The self-perfected nature of reality transcends all thought and investigation. Its own field of activity is that from the heretics up to the great secret tantra, all are self-manifestations. No matter how the great secret is proclaimed in sound, it is the path of the great secret, and nowhere can it be heard from other than oneself. The secret of one's own consciousness, being equal to the Dharmakaya, is not recognized by all. The nature of mind pervades all, and the Dharmakaya is self-luminous, like the sky and the sun. The self-perfected nature of reality, complete with the five self-born wisdom bodies, is the unobstructed basis of the manifestation of consciousness itself. The appearance of samsara and nirvana is also the quality of great self-born wisdom. That which becomes the essence or quintessence of all elements is the intention of the great purity of mind itself. This essence is indeed a meaning that is extremely difficult to find and cannot be obtained from elsewhere. Whatever one accepts, is said because it is oneself. All sentient beings in the realms of the four births and the cycle of the five aggregates appear because of the reversal of one's own clinging winds. The impurity of clinging is purified by the impurity itself. The world realm, the past and future Buddhas of perfect and complete enlightenment, and

All that exists now, there is not a single moment that does not arise from the power of awareness. Therefore, all are gathered into the single awareness, like the rays of the sun. That very awareness does not transcend the state of the Dharmakaya, great bliss, and manifests all kinds of skillful means. Even in emptiness, all are gathered into one. From the expanse of the natural state of mind, the unwavering waves are the very self-illuminating samadhi. From the Tantra of the Precious Wheel Heap, the sixth chapter is the teaching on the secret meaning. Then, again, by its own nature, the secret, flawless meaning was spoken. Emaho! For a person whose essence is great bliss and who uses the five poisons, there is nothing to be adjusted or changed. Just as a lotus flower spontaneously blazes in the darkness of the mud, it cannot be fashioned by artifice. When the sun of clarity rises and the light of the rainbow shines, no one can dispel it. When the lamp of wisdom shines in the essence of the five poisons, even I myself cannot dispel it. The spontaneously accomplished nature of reality, the great desire that does not crave, arises spontaneously, and the marks of conceptual thought are empty. Sleeping undifferentiated in the expanse of the nature of reality is that great, undiscriminating ignorance. Cutting off other elaborations from that is the incomparable pride. For the fool who thinks of himself as different from others, jealousy is something that no one can abandon. Taking the five poisons as the path is the definitive ground of fruition, which is pervasive in the nature of great wisdom. The expanse of great wisdom is the source or basis of all things, the place where cause, condition, and result do not cease. The path of liberation is to act on all the uninterrupted sources from all to all. Emaho! Great bliss, the source of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, is the uninterrupted awareness; at that time, the mind of enlightenment arises, and whatever appears as the nature of samsara is also that very awareness. Bodhisattvas whose aggregates and sense bases are completely pure, and all the victorious ones of space and pure space, are also the pure appearances of the manifestation of awareness itself. Enumerating the grounds and paths as different is the thought of small-minded people, like seeking a foothold in the sky. The influence of changing conditions and karma is different.
