Self-arisen golden fish swim, Appearances remain as they are, attained by the net of intention. In the sky where the remembrance of Dharma-nature awakens, The golden garuda flies, appearing as five clusters. Hovering in a state free from attachment and conceptual extremes, In the ocean of Dharma-nature, free from partiality and purified of concepts, The awareness free from the duality of existence and non-existence, the golden fish swim. Self-appearance, aimless samadhi, attained by the net. In the sky where the Dharmakaya is free from elaboration and abides in its own place, The self-appearance free from action and agent, the golden garuda flies. Cutting off delusion at its root, hovering in the state of Dharmakaya. In the Dharma-nature free from effort, the Great Perfection sky, The awareness free from effort, the self-appearance, the golden garuda flies. Hovering in the state of Dharmadhatu, free from effort and accomplishment. In the ocean of uncorrupted, spontaneously perfect wisdom, Clear and pure appearances, the golden fish swim. The self-arisen net, free from conditions and basis, is attained. In the sky where the Dharmakaya is free from concepts and support, The single decisive intention, the golden garuda flies. Hovering in a state free from doubt about whether appearances are real or not. In the ocean of the Dharma-realm, adorned and beautiful, manifold, The Rupakaya is equal and unmixed, the golden fish swim. The Dharmakaya is attained by the net free from remembrance. In the sky where self-appearance is free from partiality, The empty and clear garuda flies, free from elaboration. Hovering in a state without clinging to appearances. In the ocean of self-arisen, unpolluted nature, The awareness where characteristics abide in their own place, the golden fish swim. Non-clinging, self-abiding samadhi, attained by the net. In the sky where characteristics are free from elaboration, self-appearance, The Dharmakaya free from grasping and being grasped, the golden garuda flies. The Dharma-nature, self-appearance, hovering in the state of bindu. The reality of secret mantra wisdom is just like that. Emaho! The secret wisdom, the self-appearing net of skillful means. The true wisdom cannot be expressed in words. Self-aware wisdom, because of its luminosity, The wisdom of appearance transcends objects. That self-arisen nature, because it is free from substance, Is the cause of all mudras. The great wisdom of the Buddha, Pervades all and is difficult to fathom. In the inseparability of relative and ultimate truth, There is no self in phenomena and individuals, This is the Bodhisattva. Regarding all actions and afflictions, Not understanding the meaning of equality, Holding onto dependent origination, cause, and effect, This is the level of the Pratyekabuddha. Regarding all phenomena without exception, The Four Noble Truths

Seeing all things as truly existent, engaging in actions of acceptance and rejection, this is the realm of the Shravakas. Emphasizing the ten virtues, with virtue and non-virtue being equal, it is the birthplace of gods and humans, revolving in the desire realm. Not realizing the meaning of equality, clinging to the four immeasurables and the four dhyanas, clinging to forms and so on as self, one is born in the realm of Brahma. If one does not realize equality and formlessness, not knowing the ungrasping self-appearance, then one is born in the four formless realms. If one does not know that all is equal, then one harbors hatred towards all, and if there is no genuine compassion, then one is born in the sixteen hells. If one does not know non-attachment and being devoid of substance, then one is attached to all things, obscured by the obscurations of the body and the obscurations of food, one is born in the hunger and thirst of the pretas. Not understanding the benefit of oneself and others, being ignorant of all dharmas, because of the lack of self-illuminating wisdom, one does not see the two, good and evil, and is born in a state of extreme dullness. Being extremely arrogant and coarse, grasping everything as one's own, fighting and arguing with each other, if one does not know one's own benefit, then one is born in a place of coarse contention. This is the falling place of samsara, the impure path of all sentient beings, the Victorious Ones have taught as the place of falling. The realm of self-appearance of the wisdom of Dzogchen, how could it become a place of falling? In the self-nature of all equality, all the wrongly conceived views are not originally present, but are due to the conceptual thoughts of sentient beings, inverted by clinging to self and mine. All inversion and non-inversion are the perfectly complete Bodhicitta. In the non-conceptual nature of awareness, everything arises from nothing. The view and conduct of Dzogchen Ati, however one practices, has no self-nature. Like a great garuda soaring in the sky, it is attained by the vastness of great self-appearance. Like a swimmer floating in the water, one crosses to the other shore by the power of self-appearance. Like the wind in the intermediate space, it is free from all identifiable wisdom. If one realizes the meaning of the Dharmata of Dzogchen, then ignorance itself dawns as wisdom. Inversion is the correct view, the five afflictions are the Thus-Gone Ones. Desire is without thought and without mind, therefore there is no desire in the aspect of desire. Likewise, the five, desire, hatred, and so on, are also said to be non-existent in the true meaning. Sentient beings are ignorant.
