The water of non-existence pervades all yellow water. And, it abides within the spring of ungrasping perfection, these are five. The five skies are: the sky that pervades all, the very reality of awareness; the sky of luminosity without location, the five lights; the sky of purity without mixture, the utterly pure realm of space; the sky of wisdom that signifies meaning, the meaning of signs; and the sky that leads to the pure realm, these are twenty-one recognitions. Thus, the five elements naturally abide within themselves. This is the way it is explained. There are also five life-sustaining winds: the wind that holds the root, generating the radiance of awareness; the life that protects, generating the radiance of the element; the extremely subtle life, which is light; the impure life, which is the mind of ignorance; and the life that trembles greatly, which is the companion of mind, these are five. There are also five winds that abide together with it: the wind that separates the essence from the dross, inseparable from all things; the wind that generates warmth, inseparable from awareness; the wind that clarifies and transforms, inseparable from the lamp; the wind that completely gathers, inseparable from the element; and the wind that completely praises, inseparable from prajna, these are five. There are also five winds that generate radiance and brilliance: the wind that generates discriminating consciousness, making the object of wisdom; the wind that generates aversion, making the object of appearance; the wind that generates radiant brilliance, which is the lamp; the wind that generates arrival, which is the object of ignorance; and the wind that generates wildness, which is the object of mind, these are five. There are also five winds that completely pervade: the wind that pervades the base, appearing in wisdom; the wind that immediately pervades, appearing in the lamp; the wind that pervades fear and dread, appearing in awareness; the wind that pervades memory, appearing in thought; and the wind that pervades the entire body by grasping, appearing in mind, these are five. There are also five winds of the kalpa of mercilessness: the wind that completely moves, pervading the aggregates; the wind that completely liberates, pervading the instant; the wind that completely repels, pervading the bardo; the wind that completely transforms, pervading the signs; and the wind of the instant, pervading the three instants, these are five. Thus, the five winds

In its own nature, it abides in all sentient beings. Because it moves on the true ground, it is called the moving wind. Because it holds the life of pure wisdom, it is called the life-holding wind. Because it has the nature of five wisdom lights, it is called the wind of radiance and splendor. Because wisdom can liberate into the true realm, it is called the wind of merciless kalpa karma. Because it is inseparable from the appearance of wisdom, it is called the wind that dwells together with fire. In all winds, the meaning abides in the same way. Thus, in the Great Self-Arisen Awareness Tantra, the twentieth chapter, which explains the differences of the inner five elements, is completed. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets (Vajrapani) said this: "Kye! Kye! Body of the Bhagavan, please speak of the abiding place of the intention of all Buddhas of the three times." Thus he requested. Then again, it was said: "Kyeho! Listen, assembly of gathered retinues, including dakinis. The complete mandala of all Buddhas of the three times arises entirely from one's own unchanging bodhicitta of awareness. Constantly, all that possesses the vajra meaning is in a state of indivisible oneness. If one knows one, then one sees the great bliss of dharmata and engages in it. The mandala of citta is clear as light, the actual Buddha of the past. The uninterrupted appearance of the bardo arises as the path, the actual Buddha of the future. The lamp of the path of enlightenment appears in the realm, the actual Buddha of the present. The intention of the Buddhas of the three times is established as valid. The Buddhas of the three times are not elsewhere, but self-arisen and absorbed into oneself. The intention of the Buddhas is shown by Vajrasattva to be held. Also, the names of the Buddhas of the three times are praised as follows: In beginningless time, as the past, it is said to be Dipamkara. Later, as non-existent in the realm, it is said to be Great Maitreya. Since the manner appears manifestly and performs the benefit of others, it is said to be Great Shakyamuni. Likewise, the Buddhas of the three times are said to be one's own great appearance. Also, there are three: body, speech, and mind. Speech is the Buddha of the past. Mind is the Buddha of the future. Body is the Buddha of the present. The three Buddhas abide in that way. What mistake is there in unchanging bodhicitta? There is no mistake."
