Homage! All phenomena arise from the mind, listen to the sacred words of the mind's teachings. The Buddhas of the ten directions are my mind, the outer and inner realms are my mind, directions and appearances are my mind, outer and inner are also my mind, heavens and hells are my mind, to the Buddha of the mind, Samantabhadra, the emanations of the Buddhas of the ten directions listen. If I have nothing to show to myself, whose dharma is the dharma of grasping and discrimination? If I have no directions or biases, whose dharma is the outer and inner? If I have no cause and effect at all, whose dharma is good and evil? In the uncreated nature of mind, from where do the five colors come? From where do good and evil, great and small, arise? Who speaks of the feeling of pleasure and pain? To whom do directions, biases, and boundaries belong? The deluded mind is only deluded, the ignorant mind is only suffering, the discriminating mind is only dangerous. If all phenomena that appear in this way are controlled by my mind, where is there anything greater than myself? If all Buddhas are mind, where is there anything greater than mind? The nature of reality that transcends grasping and discrimination, the greatness of mind lies in that. The fruit of no abandonment or acceptance, the greatness of mind lies in that. The greatness of mind is inherently present, there is no searching for it through causes, there is no need to cultivate it into a result. Like the sky, it is inherently present, what cause is there for grasping, discrimination, and fabrication? If you wish to seek the Dharma and the Buddhas, seek the greatness of mind in this. The first chapter, The Mind is Inherently Great. Then, the words of the Dharma Nature being inherently great were spoken thus. Samantabhadra is my Dharma, the teaching of vast play, what appears in this way is my Dharma. Before the absence of inherent existence, there was not even the name of Dharma Nature. If there are individuals and yogis, who desires the fruit of Dharma Nature? It should be sought from the absence of inherent existence. The nature of mind is such that, when great discrimination arises in it, that is the action of the greatness of Dharma Nature. In the truly certain Dharma Nature, the greatness of Dharma Nature is without limit. In the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no good or evil, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no beginning or end, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no outer or inner, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no above or below, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no direction or bias, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no abandonment or acceptance, in the greatness of Dharma Nature there is no existence or non-existence. It is not non-existence, yet it is pervasive, although pervasive, it has no substance. Like this.

Whoever knows its nature, that is the greatness of the Dharma-nature. Before the absence of Dharma-nature, even the names of Buddha and sentient beings did not exist. Through the blessing of the greatness of Dharma-nature, it appears as it appears, and it is as it appears. It has also been truthfully declared. In those Dharmas and so on, there is no Dharma in the Dharmas. Whoever grasps the subtle aspect of self-nature, there is no Dharma in that grasping. There is no result of Dharma in that. Whoever grasps the result of Dharma, these are the meanings of wisdom. Not having been before nor after, not having been divided into directions nor factions, if one abandons the faults of clinging, attachment, grasping, and conceptualization, that is called Dharma-nature. Furthermore, the greatness of Dharma-nature, if one wishes to realize which yoga, then one should broaden vast wisdom, expand directions, and seek from this chapter of Dharma-nature being great from the beginning. The chapter of Dharma-nature being great from the beginning, the second chapter ends. Then, the elements being great from the beginning, thus it was declared. Space being great from the beginning, fire and water being great from the beginning, wind and earth being great from the beginning. Before the absence of the elements, even the names of Buddha and sentient beings did not exist. The Buddha of the five elements is the supreme of all Buddhas. The five elements are the realm of the mother, and being born from the mother, they are the sons of the Buddha. The five elements are the mother of the lineage, and she is the father of skillful means enjoyed by me. The five elements are great in terms of the place from the beginning, the five elements are pure from the beginning, the place of the five elements is space, the cause of the five elements is the earth. The enjoyment of the five elements is fire and water, the emanation of the five elements is wind. The characteristics of the five elements are without conceptualization, the nature of the five elements is unconditioned, the result of the five elements is without object, the qualities of the five elements are knowing and realizing, the meaning of the five elements is without transformation. Since all arise from the nature of Dharma-nature, all are great because they arise from the elements. Since the nature of the elements is without substance, therefore the elements are emptiness. The elements are the perfection of wisdom. Through the gathering of the five elements, the play of the Dharmadhatu is shown. Having realized the meaning of emptiness, in the elements, having clarified with definite wisdom, with the blessing of possessing skillful means, it is only shown that these are the elements, but in meaning it has not been shown as such. If one does not realize the great greatness, and performs the actions of the elements, then there is no great wisdom.
