If someone is afflicted by a severe disease, these signs will definitely appear, the entrance is the abdomen, located in the heart and discharging yellow water, the voice is hoarse, the flesh color is black, the flesh tissue will also become smaller, or become swollen, the wrist will definitely become thin, meaningless wounds will appear, the desire for genitals will not arise, the abdomen will ache and become dry, the joints will ache and yellow water will flow out, sometimes there will be throbbing pain, the luster of the eyebrows will disappear, symptoms of leprosy will appear, cracks will appear from the soles of the feet, know that this is the disease of severe illness. When walking, the feet will spin, the body will sway, water will flow out of the mouth, nose, and eyes at inappropriate times, and later it will also turn into leprosy of severe illness. Such types of leprosy, if they have eight forms, are definitely possessed by the demon of severe illness. This is the method to cure them: first offer with tranquility, set up water offerings and stupas, if that is not effective, then by a person with great power meditation, build a triangular stove, on the built black stove, draw the image of a khatvanga and a vajra, use a collection of cemetery wood and thorny trees, and poisonous trees to build a triangle. Make the image of the demon blue-green, the black wool hair upside down, write the letter pe (Tibetan: པྲེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: pre, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pre, Chinese literal meaning: peh) at the heart, hang a black thread twisted with three strands around the neck of that lingam, fix it in four directions with four pegs, carry a knife and harmful weapons, and face south yourself. Burn the land and trees to ashes. Then, in that very pit, dig downwards in a triangular shape. Fill the bottom of the pit with coal and other rough materials, and compact it with earth. The substance placed on top of it is a flat, blue leather, secured with a drawing of a crossed vajra. The one endowed with great power samadhi proceeds with the power of wrathful majesty. Perform the subjugating horse dance. Utter the sound "Haha" and shout loudly. Sing the great song of Padmāntakṛta. Then, cut with a knife. These are its secret mantras: Tshe da tshe da maraya khabena hum phat (ཚེ ད་ཚེ་ད་མཱ་ར་ཡ།ཁཱ་བེ་ན་ཧཱུ~ྂ་ཕཊ།). Recite it twenty-one times. Afterwards, this is the mantra for incompleteness: Dushta krahana stvam bhana kuru lam (དུཥྚ་ཀྲ་ཧ་ན།། སྟྭྂ་བྷ་ན་ཀུ་རུ་ལམ།།). Accomplish it by reciting it eighteen times. If you do it eighteen times in this way, you will be liberated from the harm of evil spirits. By performing this ritual, you will be liberated from the harm of earth-lord spirits. Thus, having completed all these actions, you will be completely liberated from the nagas, evil spirits, earth-lords, and earth-spirits. Diseases like leprosy will also be pacified. Therefore, these actions are swift. For those human beings, diseases like leprosy, plagues, epilepsy, and other illnesses, are caused by the harm of the mamos. Even though the types of mamos are numerous, the evil spirits are categorized into five types. The mamo who controls the earth, the one who controls the water element, the mamo who controls the fire element, similarly, the one who controls the wind element, and the one who controls the sky. Regarding the methods for protecting against them, I have explained two types. Other messengers who are sent, and temporary seats, are remnants of the action. I have explained two types. The methods of protection are individual. The method of diagnosis is as follows: The evil spirits sent by others, the person possessed by the evil spirit, their face is black and dry. The body is heavy and they like to quarrel, the eye veins are red and they like to be angry. Consciousness is dim and the liver is not good, they dream of a great river. The person who experiences this, it is certain that they are controlled by the power of mantras. The method of curing these is, first, to avert them with a torma and peaceful methods. If they are still not liberated, the one endowed with great power samadhi, under their own bed, should make a black triangle. Inside, place images of mantras, place images of mamos. On top, place a graveyard stone.
