In the heart of supreme wisdom, the former does not cease, the latter does not diminish. The distinctions of forms are simultaneous. Wisdom is individually clear and not pervasive. Without arising or ceasing, the distinction is singular. To view the three times as existent is the perception of sentient beings whose obscurations have not been purified. The mind is an obscuration, due to habitual tendencies. Because of conceptualizing in a realm of non-existence, the former has ceased and does not remain. The latter has not arisen, so the obscuration is not seen. The three times are seen as three within one. Past, future, and present, because of conceptualizing in a realm of non-existence, there is no certainty in terminology and names. Thus it is said. From the Sutra of Perfect Endowment, the chapter on teaching the perfect endowment of the time and place of the teachings. Then, that great Bodhisattva explained this commentary on the perfect endowment of definite assemblies, the meaning of the definite Sutra. The unborn Vajra, the immutable Bodhisattva, unclouded, pervades all, like the sky. Self-arisen wisdom, great because it has no antidote. This Dharmata of Samantabhadra, without acceptance or rejection, with unobstructed activity, freely engages in the realm where all things gather and arise. Because it is vast, all things gather and act in assembly. All things gather and arise, the realm of Dharma. In that great, pure, empty path, because all Buddhas and sentient beings of the three realms are liberated, Bodhichitta does not arise in objects or realms. That self-arisen wisdom has no cessation. In whatever arising and ceasing, there is no samadhi or view. The teacher Samantabhadra, the teaching is Bodhichitta. To the Great Perfectionists, it is taught without remainder. Bodhichitta is the essence of all, completely perfect because all dharmas are without remainder. Because there is no antidote, it is not changed by others. The unchanging nature abides uprightly. The example is like the sky, pervading all. Because there are no causes or conditions, it does not depend on others. Thus it is taught. Because the retinue of Samantabhadra Vajra and I are assembled, whoever that may be, understands that the nature of mind is Buddhahood. In the realm of awareness, the nature of mind is great bliss. Whoever recognizes and realizes this, it is said to be a pure world. Whoever touches and realizes it, for them, all dharmas are gathered in the light of awareness. The four directions and eight intermediate directions, above and below, are established as phenomena, sentient beings, gods, and mind. Thus it is said. Commentary on the Sutra of Perfect Endowment and its meaning.
