It is so. One continuum, one scripture, one essential instruction. Because it exists in each vehicle. Therefore, manifestation and obscuration occur in number. Here, a brief explanation is given. It is explained by the scripture that reveals manifestation and obscuration. Connection, the nature of the continuum, should be understood as ten aspects. Manifestation and existence are connected. Vessel and essence are connected from the very beginning. Samsara and nirvana are connected from the very beginning. Cause and effect are connected from the very beginning. Object and sense faculty are connected from the very beginning. Method and wisdom are connected from the very beginning. Dharmadhatu and wisdom are connected from the very beginning. Relative truth and ultimate truth are connected from the very beginning. Mind and dharma are connected. Therefore, Buddha and sentient beings are connected. The nature of the continuum is said to be connected. And how is that? How the phenomena appear is, because existence arises in manifestation. It is said to be connected. Essence inherently resides in the vessel, what is called vessel is the vessel of essence. Therefore, vessel and essence are connected from the very beginning. The sentient beings of the six realms of samsara, from the very beginning, are the cause of nirvana. Therefore, from the very beginning, they are connected by cause. Whatever cause, the seed from that, whatever effect arises from that. Cause and effect are connected from the very beginning. Because objects are clear to the senses. Unobstructed, clear by their own conditions. Therefore, object and sense faculty are connected. Whatever unborn object is, realized by the king of awareness and method. Therefore, method and wisdom are connected. The dharmadhatu free from elaboration is, the unobscured wisdom is. Therefore, dharmadhatu and wisdom are connected. With relative words and letters, the inexpressible ultimate truth is realized. Therefore, relative truth and ultimate truth are connected. The connection between mind and dharma is, the mind abides in the object of dharma. The object of dharma is inherently clear in the mind. Therefore, mind and dharma are connected. The connection between Buddha and sentient beings is, the compassion of the Buddha towards sentient beings. From the very beginning, they are connected by one aspiration. Therefore, it is said to be ten connections. The great definitive teaching is, for example, when a minister speaks. It is not called a decree. What the kings decree, that is called a decree. Similarly, even if a person explains the meaning. It is not named a teaching. Similarly, the three teachers, to the nine types of individuals with different faculties. The nine true words spoken are, the nine teachings of the teacher.

It should be established as such. The oral instructions for countering (la zlo) are to be known as ten aspects. What are they? They are: viewing and vows, activities and wisdom, the stages of ground and path, subtle dharma, tantra, and agama, these ten aspects of oral instruction's nature, like the complete teaching of mind-essence, should be known as oral instructions. Those that are certain are to be known as six aspects. They are the nature of Bodhicitta, explaining the meaning of being primordially such, that is, Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།) is, Samantabhadri (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་མོ།) is, non-duality (གཉིས་སུ་མེད་པ།) is, tantra is, agama is, oral instruction is, to be known as six aspects. In the Dharmata Bodhicitta, because there is no good or bad to be accepted or rejected, it is said to be Samantabhadra. In the Dharmata Bodhicitta, because everything is gathered and arises, it is said to be Samantabhadri. In the Dharmata Bodhicitta, because there is no grasping or fixation, it is said to be non-dual. Because it is the three of tantra, agama, and oral instruction, in the Dharmata Bodhicitta, because everything is gathered and assembled, it is called the perfect tantra. With the Dharmata Bodhicitta, because it can determine all dharmas, it is said to determine the great agama. It is said to be the agama of Bodhicitta. This Great Perfection of Mind-Essence, these ten aspects of oral instruction's nature, in order to counter the transcendence of addition and subtraction, it is also said to be oral instruction. The reason for summarizing the meaning is shown as five aspects, that is, five necessities and eight oral instructions, four yogic lives and four vows, surpassing with five, one, and three, and showing what can and cannot be established. What are the five necessities? They are the nature of Bodhicitta, the place of origin of the mind's vajra, and the Dharmata that cannot be sought, and because it arises in the play of Samantabhadra, there is no need for the meditation of the generation stage and completion stage, and the conduct of how it is done, it is said to be the supreme oral instruction. What are the eight oral instructions? They are the mandala of ground and path, karma and union being pure, without separation and liberation, and the oral instruction of the Great Perfection. What is it like? That is, there is nothing to be purified on the ground, there is no path to be traveled, the mandala has no edge or center, karma cannot be sought.
