Taking examples from other dharmas, do not assume that destruction will occur after arising. Without examining self-origination, cause and effect, and the past, imposing judgments on the phenomenal dharmas of the world, saying that results come from seeking causes, this is the provisional teaching of the causal vehicle. Hey! Great Bodhisattva, listen! What is taught as "wisdom, wisdom" is self-originated wisdom, uninterrupted, and equal to all. That unequaled wisdom, not arising from causes, generates everything, so no dharma arises from elsewhere. Imposing judgments on the causal dharmas of the world, results cannot arise without seeking. Since Bodhicitta has no cause or condition, do not impose judgments on the arising and ceasing dharmas of the world. Since Bodhicitta is not generated by conditions, do not take examples from the dharmas of the world generated by conditions. Hey! Great Bodhisattva! Striving to meditate and practice, desiring greatness, that greatness cannot be achieved through meditation and seeking. Greatness is self-originated, inherently great. If you meditate, you are distorting the Buddha's intention. Whoever distorts the Buddha's intention, that person abandons all Buddhas. It is not that they abandon the Buddhas, but that they abandon their own Bodhicitta, and their own nature will not be encountered for eons. Hey! Great Bodhisattva! Do not meditate on samadhi with the mind, do not conceptualize objects with wisdom, there is no need to recite mantras and heart mantras with the mouth, no need to make mudras with the hands. Do not scatter and gather the mind in samadhi, abiding in its natural state, unwavering, naturally accomplished. Abiding in its own nature, no one can change it. Not seeking, abiding in the state as it is, this shows that non-action is the supreme of all actions. Understanding that meaning, one does not create actions, and not creating actions, one abides in suchness. Whoever abides in suchness, that person will achieve without error or fabrication. That is without error, nature is without fabrication. Nature is without error, it is the self-nature of reality. From suchness, there are no Buddha and Dharma. Thus it is said. The forty-seventh chapter, "The Chapter on No Need to Seek Activities," from the *Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra*. Then, the *Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra* said: The root of all dharmas is Kunjed Gyalpo itself. Hey! Great Bodhisattva!

Listen! I, the All-Maker, am the Bodhicitta of all. Bodhicitta is the root of all dharmas. From the three natures of me, the All-Maker, all the needs of perfection are complete. These three natures should be known as follows: unborn and unceasing, and the miraculous manifestation of non-ceasing birth, these three are declared to be perfect. From the nature of unborn unceasing, the root of dharma that is shown is perfect. From the nature of un obscured and unhindered, the nature of the three teachers is perfect. From the essence of the miraculous manifestation of unborn birth, the three natures of the retinue are perfect. Listen, Great Bodhisattva! In my one nature, the Dharmata, I, the three undying teachers, from the three retinues arising from miraculous manifestation, my Dharmata, which is Suchness, has six bases of methods to be realized. View is the basis for creating the seeing of Dharmata, this is the method of seeing. Because of unborn, there is no object to be aimed at, so seeing cannot see in Suchness. Samaya is the basis for creating the removal of one's own faults, this is the method of no obstruction. Because Suchness has no object to be guarded, guarding cannot conquer in Suchness. Karma is the basis for creating accomplishment, searching is the method of creating accomplishment. Because Suchness has no object to be searched for, so in Suchness there is no accomplishment of karma. The path is the basis for creating the going by walking, this is the method of reaching the place. Because Suchness has no path to walk on, so walking cannot reach Suchness. The ground is the basis for creating abiding, this is the method of not needing purification. Because everything abides in Suchness, so in the place of abiding there is no need for purification. Wisdom is the basis for creating realization, this is the method of understanding Dharmata. Because Suchness has no object to be realized, so self-arisen wisdom does not generate discrimination on the object. Listen, Great Bodhisattva! Because Bodhicitta is the root of dharma, it is shown in the cycle of cause and effect through the six views and practices of each vehicle. Therefore, each self-satisfying thought, for the six bases of view and practice...

Even if searched, since there is no place to search for Suchness, searching will instead alter Suchness. Therefore, the unaltered original ground of one's own mind cannot be encountered. Hey! Great Bodhisattva, listen! The reason for stating that "view is not to be cultivated" is that the root of Dharma is not outside oneself. Because one cannot see oneself, I have not indicated a realm without self. Therefore, it is stated that view is not to be cultivated. The reason for stating that "samaya is not to be guarded" is that guarding cannot control, cannot suppress one's own mind. Because it is self-arisen wisdom, it is not to be guarded. Hey! The reason for stating that "activity is not to be sought" is that Dzogchen is originally beyond cause and effect. Activity is accomplished from cause, and one expects to obtain the result. Dzogchen has no expectation of obtaining a result, therefore there is no seeking of activity. Therefore, it is stated that activity is not to be sought. The reason for stating that "the path is not to be traversed" is that, hey! The Buddhas of the three times, sentient beings of the three realms, traverse the path of Bodhicitta. In the mind, there is no distinction between Buddha and sentient beings. Therefore, mind has no path to traverse to mind. The reason for stating that "the ground is not to be cultivated" is that, in this ground of Dharmadhatu Bodhicitta, if one believes that it can be obtained through cultivation, then it is with cause and effect. In this ground of Dharmata Bodhicitta, I have not indicated teachings that are accomplished through cultivation and alteration. The reason for stating that "the realm of wisdom is not to be conceived" is that the realm is originally self-arisen wisdom, and in wisdom, there is no realm of wisdom. Thus it is said. In the Kunjed Gyalpo (All-Creating King), it is taught that the basis of all dharmas is Kunjed itself, this is the forty-eighth chapter. Then, the Kunjed Gyalpo (All-Creating King) indicated this place where everything abides in me. Hey! Great Bodhisattva! Kunjed Gyalpo (All-Creating King) myself, abides in the heart essence of all Bodhi. The nature of Bodhicitta, is the palace of Dharmadhatu. All the Buddhas of the three times, and all sentient beings of the three realms, are all in the vast realm of mind, there is not one who does not abide here. It is the place and ground of all, abiding here without separation. There is no need to cultivate and traverse here. If one cultivates and traverses here, then one is altering one's own mind. Alteration cannot mature one's own mind. This is the common ground of all.
