I will not exceed the three. Teach it to a royal lineage of mandalas. From countless eons ago, I have practiced the meaning of Dzogchen. Praised as a vessel of secret wisdom. Like a garuda chick in an egg, Buddhahood is already attained in samsara itself. Like a chick breaking out of its shell and flying into the sky, the guru's state is unadorned by conceptual thought. Like nectar that gathers the essence of the ocean, this Dzogchen gathers the essence of the teachings. Teach it to those who have the capacity and good conduct. The ritual of empowerment and examining the vessel, making requests and granting permission. This is the order of preliminaries. The secret mind of all the Sugatas, has always existed in the three realms. Whoever realizes this, is the most supreme of all empowerments. Empowerment is already bestowed in the three realms, with self-liberation as the vessel. From the beginning, empowerment is obtained, there is no need to bestow it again. The method of realization is known through the method of pith instructions. Whether it is artificial adornment or naturalness itself, it is taught in accordance with one's inclinations. Through the door of artificial adornment of skillful means, it is shown like a magical mirror. Even if one has the desire to realize, one should practice in the meaning of naturalness. Realizing the meaning, the practice of artificial adornment is also, in order to show the difference between words and meaning. The necessary meaning lies in entering the higher meaning. All that is said is shown as mind. Natural, unadorned, like the ground itself, entering the meaning of the three spontaneously accomplished bodies. Entering in four stages. The three mandalas of no action, are spontaneously accomplished from the beginning without effort. Rising in the essence of the sun of wisdom, self-luminous, darkness is primordially pure. Everything is the great bindu itself, in the immovable, beyond conceptual thought, clinging to cause and effect, bound by the illusion of ignorance. The self-appearing, unadorned sun rises, because of the unsearched, self-existing appearance, there is no straying in the essential mind. Everything blazes in the essence of clarity. Due to the power of deluded thoughts, even though the appearances of samsara manifest in various ways, it has never moved from the realm of wisdom. The wisdom of the Buddhas, arises from clinging to self. Appears as a sign in the conceptual mind. The mind of non-conceptual wisdom is liberated, non-conceptual wisdom is clear like a mirror. Appears like a rainbow in the sky. In the nature of self-born wisdom, the appearance of the distinction of play, appears but there is nothing to grasp. Appears like the moon in water. Whatever appears is the play of wisdom, there is nothing

Suchness. Unmodified self-appearance is the very nature, the reality is unmoving in the great bliss. There is nothing to seek or move. The terms 'dhātu' and 'wisdom' are merely labels; they are not the reality itself, but rather places of attachment. In the wondrous, immeasurable, and free from elaboration, the burning wisdom is the speech of the Sugata. It is established as the very nature of encounter, to be known from the face of the guru. The various aspects of conduct are to be known from the guru who possesses the teachings. Discern through the sound of illusory words. Whatever is what, that is it; the wisdom of awareness arises. If it is not that, then it is reversed; it is incompatible with awareness, and its nature is reversed, like the nature of wind and bile. Through conduct, one knows the distinctions of attachment and aversion, the meaning of their intensity and slowness, and their inherent nature. Then, the vajra disciple should make supplication, desiring the meaning of awareness. If granted, that one becomes the regent, effortlessly attaining and without grasping. The secret wheel is a treasure of wisdom, holding the treasury of secret mantra treasures, and is the master who proclaims the doctrine of awareness. The foundational awareness is self-luminous, and is the essence of the Sugatas of the three times. It is the nature of samsara with three qualities. The timing is to be known from the face of the guru; it is the same in other situations as well. The mandala of secret wisdom, although hidden by the gurus, can be seen by the lamp of clarification. The great primordial clarity is impartial, clear to all without inside or outside. Through the coarse aspects of samsara, the subtle meaning of that is not seen. By seeing the true meaning, bondage is liberated, and perfect wisdom is realized. Through practice and familiarity, one reaches the ultimate; when the mind that is grasped by thought is completely exhausted without remainder, non-conceptual wisdom reaches its ultimate clarity. In the unchanging, ever-youthful state of mind, rest the self-luminous light of wisdom. Do not lose mindfulness due to circumstances; let that nature remain naturally. To the unerring teacher of the mind, determine the meaning of the teachings with the power of mindfulness, without thought, without memory, unmoving, not grasping the meaning of the excellent and distinct. It is neither gathering nor scattering, the non-conceptual clarity is unfettered, it is not crude but a peaceful place, abiding in that very nature of awareness. The nature of mind is naturally relaxed. For a mind like an elephant, it is comfortable in its unmodified state. Seeking transforms it into a drunken elephant. Just as the essence of space is unmodified, the nature of mind is comfortable unmodified. Great garuda, space.
