Clarity and blessing are perfected in the expanse. Like a treasure trove of wish-fulfilling jewels. Impartial, it is the treasure of all. Like a great accomplished lion. Accomplishing power and subjugation in one. Like swiftly flying in the sky. Overcoming all impassable grounds in an instant. Perfected in the expanse of unobstructed awareness. All clear appearances are perfected in awareness. Like stars scattered in the sky. Unmixed, self-illuminating, perfected in the expanse. Vajrasattva, the Thus-Gone-One. In the unaltered expanse of awareness. Know it and rest in your own nature. Without elaboration, without cause or condition, without support. Like the sky, the natural power is vast. Self-born, without other, it is the expanse of one's own nature. However it is placed, it is thus. The self-illuminating sun is equal to all. Like the essence of the boundless sky. If examined in clarity, it is without object. Unmoving, without grasping, it is the treasure of equality. The self-born teaching arises from itself. The self-illuminating wheel turns within itself. The self-illuminating sun is the treasure of all. Abiding in all, it is the expanse beyond examination. Thus it is said. From the great continuum equal to the extent of space. The fourth chapter, the treasury of precious knowledge. Then, Vajrasattva Bodhisattva requested the great Vajrasattva, saying: The self-illuminating sun, the supreme of light. Possessing the treasure of the nine stores of awareness. In the spontaneously accomplished, free from action, perfect teachings. May the nine stores rain down desires. May afflictions and wisdom appear as one. Please explain how to divide one into nine. Then, the great Vajrasattva spoke thus: Hey, great Bodhisattva. The bindu is divided into two. In one solitary place, false accusations arise. The six realms are seen as separate. The nine stores of treasure are obscured by awareness. The entire bindu is round. Samsara and nirvana are not originally present. Samsara is the essence of bodhichitta. Suffering arises as the play of Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra). That itself is clear in the bindu without elaboration. Although clear, it dissolves into the invisible expanse. Attachment, hatred, ignorance, pride, and great jealousy. Because of what, the five wisdoms are clear without searching. Wisdom, like the sun, spreads to all. The five desires, the five objects, are the nourishment of all. The self-born compassion is the nourishment of all. One's own play appears to oneself. One's own enjoyment is given to oneself. For beings obscured by ignorance. The lamp of clear appearance

The mind arises. Within samsara itself is the primordial Buddha, The adornment of suffering, enjoyment, and bliss. From the beginning, primordial wisdom is self-luminous, The path of delusion is to grasp at duality. Body, speech, mind, and all activities, Are manifest in the expanse of clear awareness. Like the path of a bird in the sky, Dissolving into the expanse of space, clear and unchanging. Realms, powers, and miraculous abilities, Are perfected in the treasure of equanimity and awareness. Though actions and thoughts are limitless, They abide in the nature of self-luminous wisdom. Inherent non-duality is vast like the sky, The blessings of activity are scattered like stars, The blessings of compassion are spread like light, In the self-luminous nature, there is no gathering or scattering. In the single wisdom of awareness, Blessings are like a wish-fulfilling jewel, For the six realms, self-appearing assemblies, The fruit falls like rain from the sky. In the nature of non-dual oneness, If thoughts arise through conceptualization, The self-luminous mirror is a great light, Perfected in the expanse of objectless clarity. From the beginning, in the essence of enlightenment, Arise imputation and denial from the two (concepts of) is and is not. Since these do not abide and are free from extremes, In reality, they are separate from all of these. For example, like a needle falling from the sky, It appears to the face of delusion, But in realization, both of these are absent. Imputation is a dharma that is suddenly imputed, Denial is an extreme of emptiness without end. All of these are inverted cities, Like clinging to gold in a stone. By clinging to self-appearing thoughts, Wishing for the fruit of unconditioned self-appearance, Hoping to find the fruit of self-luminosity. Therefore, in the self-luminous equality, Enter with a mind without stages. The wheel of awareness, free from imputation, is clear, The teachings of awareness, free from denial, are self-luminous, The treasure of equanimity, free from partiality, Abides just as it is, without entering, without corruption. The continuum of equality, equal to the expanse of the sky, Abides in a single bindu, But due to non-realization, it appears as six. Yet all bindus are clear in the nature of reality, If anger is not corrected, it is clear in the expanse, Even though the flames of hell blaze, Since suffering is not established in reality, It is not other than the uncorrected expanse. If pride manifests arrogantly as a god, Enjoyment, pleasure, and pain are also separate, Since there is no duality in the uncorrected nature, Therefore, it is spontaneously perfected in the non-dual nature. Attachment, clinging, and grasping are conceptualized, Enjoyment of the four continents of humans, and Suffering, pleasure, and the suffering of samsara, Since there is no duality in the self-born nature, In the self-
