The Great Tantra of Vajrasattva, Coextensive with the Sky. In Sanskrit: Vajrasattva Akashanta Sama Mahatantra. In Tibetan: The Great Tantra of Vajrasattva, Coextensive with the Sky. Homage to glorious Vajragarbha Yeshe Guhya. At one time when this was being spoken, the Tathagata, the perfectly complete Buddha, in great enjoyment, abiding eternally like the limit of the sky, whose body, speech, and mind are like a vajra, inseparable from all Vajrasattvas, spontaneously accomplished and sovereign. Shining like a thousand suns, possessing surpassing greatness, all transformed into the nature of one, the great non-difference from anything, the glorious Vajrasattva, the collection of all Buddhas of the three times. In the Akanishta abode, the sphere of Dharma free from elaboration, a palace blazing with the wisdom of awareness. Without beginning or middle, equal to the sphere of space, the innermost secret of wisdom-secret, universally vast and expansive. Immeasurable in extent and scope, the profound, subtle, and difficult-to-realize nature is without end, without increase or decrease, adorned with countless arrays of ornaments equal to the limit of the sky. The Great Perfection, the Bhagavan, abides, with the retinue of intrinsic nature, the retinue that follows nature, and the retinue of manifest realization of nature, namely: earth, water, fire, wind, space, the desire realm, the form realm, the formless realm, and so forth, as well as complete yoga, great yoga, subsequent yoga, exceedingly yoga, and all such things. And the Buddhas of the ten directions, past, future, and present, the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya, and the infinite Nirmanakaya, abide in a single method. Then the lord of the gods requested all the victors of the ten directions, saying: O victors who have gone to the three times, who fulfill the desires of all, having diligently shown the ultimate vehicle, in the yoga of effortless taming, please speak of the supreme vehicle all at once. Having thus requested, all the Buddhas of the ten directions spoke thus to the great being Vajra: O Vajra.

O Supreme Great Bodhisattva, possessor of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas of the three times, you are the lord of all Victors. With uncreated compassion of your own nature, please explain the teachings of detachment and completion. Having said this, from the Dharmadhatu of glorious Vajrasattva, one Vajrasattva, an emanation of wisdom, arose and empowered with a five-pronged Vajra, and said this: Of all the Buddhas of the three times, holder of the treasure of the secret wheel, possessor of the secrets of body, speech, and mind, you are the lion of speech. To those who are to be tamed without effort, please speak of the spontaneously accomplished vehicle. After this request, the Bodhisattva Vajra said this: Secret Mantra Vajra, great space, is not the realm of words, and cannot be realized by speech. It is extremely difficult to go to 'this.' However, in order to fulfill the vows, and by the blessings of the compassion of the Buddhas, in order to communicate the meaning through symbols and realize it, I will liberate through the door of words. Thus he spoke. Then, Vajrasattva, in the eastern world called Abhirati, asked the Tathagata Akshobhya, who was extensively explaining the meaning of effortless mind to his retinue, as follows: In the self-born Vajra of mind-essence, how do birth, death, gathering, and separation occur? After this request, the Tathagata Akshobhya said this: In the self-born Vajra of mind-essence, because it is unborn, there is no destruction. Gathering and separation are pure like space. This is the teaching of the way of enlightenment. Thus he spoke. Then, the Bodhisattva Vajra, in the southern world called Glorious, asked the Tathagata Ratnasambhava, the Exalted One, as follows: Victor, self-born, without substance, how are immeasurable intentions fulfilled? After this request, the Tathagata Ratnasambhava, the Exalted One, said this: Just as the sun's rays are like a jewel, without accumulation, it is spontaneously perfect from the beginning. Without coming or going, it pervades all. This is the teaching of the way of enlightenment. Thus he spoke. Then, that Bodhisattva Vajra, in the western world called the Lotus Heap, said to the Buddha Padma Untainted as follows:
