Observing with the principle of pure cause and effect. Through the power of the samadhi of light, One goes to the ground of Vajrasattva. Even if one manifestly obtains the fruit of one's own ground, Therein, there is no ultimate fruit. All of this is the worldly path, Effort does not find the meaning of self-illumination. Holding duality in the state of non-duality, Wandering in darkness from the state of self-illumination. Looking at cause and effect in the absence of causes and conditions, Bound by clinging in the unconditioned state. Traversing with a path in the untraversable state. Holding self and other as two in the one. All of this obscures the meaning of wisdom, Therefore, falling into the three realms of samsara. In the one self-illumination of all convergence, Whatever is seen merges into the realm of self-illumination. The realm of Dharma, free from attachment and fixation, Not thinking within oneself, it also does not think. Unimpeded awareness arises all at once, All clear signs are perfected in awareness. Not abiding anywhere, but shining on everything. With unattached, unconditioned clarity of the realm, Know that samsara is originally enlightened. In the compassion of objectless awareness, The nature of freedom from suffering spreads universally. Object and consciousness have no arising or entering, In the mirror of self-illuminating wisdom, With the wisdom free from fixation, At the same time, encountering and entering. Not abiding anywhere, but abiding in oneself. Also separating the grasper and the grasped from oneself, Awareness does not rely on sound. The senses do not follow after objects. If this is not clearly understood, No matter how one examines, it is not so. Thus it is said. In the great tantra equal to the expanse of space, the ninth chapter, which is the chapter on what obscures what, is complete. Then, again, the hero Vajradampa asked thus: From the heart essence of effortless wisdom, That which is perfectly clear, In the undifferentiated clarity, I beseech the Protector to explain to me. Thus he asked. Then, the Tathagata Vajrasattva spoke thus: O Great Bodhisattva! The Dharma-nature, self-born Bodhicitta, In the self-born, self-aware mandala, In the non-dual great wisdom, If there is no abiding in differentiation and grasping, In order for awareness to enter into meaning, Dividing into real and conceptual, According to whatever is suitable, thus it is taught. By means of the two, essence and view. That which is not self-knowing wisdom, Does not abide in the dharma of differentiation. The three kayas are perfected in the expanse of awareness, The place is awareness free from elaboration, The teaching is the self-illuminating mirror.
