It's just a designation. Without a basis for designation, there is no Buddha. Meaning does not reside in the name to be designated. Therefore, since everything is self, Look greatly at yourself with yourself. Having looked, it is not seen, how wonderful! The seeing of not seeing is, The meaning of seeing the unborn Dharmakaya. The knowing of not knowing is, The knowing of the meaning of non-duality. The arising of not arising is, The meaning of the self-born wisdom arising. In the expanse of self-awareness, there is no ignorance. Since ignorance and wisdom are non-dual, The great, vast, and open is the expanse of seeing. Wisdom and non-wisdom are non-dual, That which is not known is great wisdom. Since it is primordially so, the expanse of non-duality. Since it arises equally, there is no need to calculate. In the nature of things that are all the same, Without inside or outside, bliss expands, What to abandon, what to accomplish, to whom to be attached? Since there is no basis for abiding, Where is the precipice of falling? In the nature of things that see the precipice, Since it abides primordially, there is no lowness. Without above or below, there is no high or low. Without high or low, there are no directions. Without near or far, it gathers into one. Since it pervades all, it expands everywhere. That basis abides primordially in that way. Since the essence is primordially unborn, It is free from extremes by not focusing on meaning. Object and mind appear as one to each other, But since it appears to oneself and there is no other, It is not clear in another, The Dharmakaya is clear in the expanse of self-appearance. Even the term "non-existent" that is examined, Is not non-existent in meaning, Appearances, sounds, all phenomena arise in oneself. The phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana, Arise from oneself and dissolve into oneself. Since it is liberated in its own place, there is no substance. Since there are no terms, it is free from self and other. Since there is no object or mind, it is the expanse of equality. Buddha is self, there is no other, Everything gathers into the Dharmakaya of self. The bindu that is free from self and other is one. That which is called Buddha, Buddha, Is just a name temporarily given. Since there is no wisdom in temporary phenomena, Do not fixate on Buddha in your mind. All designations are thoughts, Since thoughts are the nature of things, Just as there is no darkness in the center of the sun, There is no ignorance in the expanse of wisdom. In the expanse of the Dharmakaya, there are no thoughts. Thought and non-thought are non-dual, Since it does not move from the state of equality, Ignorance and wisdom are non-dual. Even the phenomena done by the self, Since there is no separate doer, Since it arises spontaneously without doing, Since it is self-done, self-born, self-accomplished, It is without cause or condition and is a designation.

|| In the nature without cause and condition, it is called the self-nature Bodhicitta. When it arises as a play of that, it is called the Dharma made by me. When all are gathered into the self, it is called the self-nature Bodhicitta. There is no duality of agent and object. All are the magical power of oneself. Self-born wisdom is continuous. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Longchen Rabjampa, the chapter on continuity, the twenty-ninth. Then the Teacher spoke again, From the nature like the sky, Rainbows and clouds are sudden. Because there is no cause or condition, the sky itself, The Dharma nature is unconditioned in the sky. The play of samsara and nirvana is sudden. Because there is no cause or condition, the Dharma nature itself. From itself, it rises up abruptly. From itself, it arises like a thunderbolt. However it appears, it is the descent of knowledge. Because there is nothing else besides that, All phenomena of existence, seeing, appearance, and sound, are The magical power of the Dharma nature space. Playing with oneself in oneself, Enjoying oneself in oneself, Being happy with oneself in oneself, Suffering with oneself in oneself, Playing equally, there is no good or bad. When existence and non-existence arise equally, Grasping at a direction is a mistake in meaning. Abide comfortably in the equal space. Descend into space without effort. Without entering or leaving, abide in one's own place. Without going or coming, purify in the Dharmadhatu. Without doing or acting, be free from effort. Without moving, be free from extremes. Without bondage or liberation, be free from attachment. Without hope or fear, be equal to the extremes. Without abandoning or neglecting, do not fall into the extreme. Space is called meditation. If a name is given, it is deceived by numbers. That continuous awareness, Because there is no before or after, no going or coming, It cannot be counted. Because there is no limit or partiality, It cannot be counted. Because there is no edge, center, direction, or boundary, It cannot be counted. Because there is no above, below, high, or low, It cannot be counted. Because there is no inside or outside, And all are gathered into one, It cannot be counted. That continuous awareness, Because it abides easily in itself, There is no distraction or non-distraction, No focus or non-focus, No clarity or non-clarity, No appearance or non-appearance, No seeking or non-seeking, No seeing or non-seeing, No meditation or non-
