The five elements arise from the Dharmadhatu, All external and internal phenomena, The five desirable qualities and the five poisons, Since they are all magical displays of the Dharmadhatu, They do not remain permanent, Like waves in the ocean, Or like clouds clearing in the sky, They dissolve into the space without a trace, Therefore, it is the burial ground of samsara and nirvana. It is the great path of sorrowless passing. The Bodhicitta is the basis of all, The All-Ground, the pure Dharmadhatu, Like the sky, it is boundless, There is no wrong path, all are precipices. The names of wrong paths and precipices, In reality, they do not exist, They are merely shown as a means of guidance. All virtuous and non-virtuous actions, Practicing them does not produce results, It is only taught to those with cause and effect. If you say that cause and effect are true, Did the cause create the effect or not? If it did, then the cause becomes the effect, It becomes the fault of being reversed. If the effect was not created, Then the effect that arose from it, Cannot create the subsequent effect, Since cause and effect are severed, the effect does not occur. Since there is no creator or created, It is not established that cause and effect truly exist. Therefore, cause and effect are accidental dharmas, In the meaning of self-arising, there is no interruption. On the three bodies without interruption, Qualities arise without interruption. Afflictions and wisdom are indistinguishable. When not understood, it is the three realms, When understood, it is the space of the three bodies, Since it is inherently so, there is no need to seek. When not understood, it is the three poisons, When understood, wisdom is nectar, Since it arises from oneself, there is no need to abandon it. Without abandoning, self-liberation is the Dharmakaya, Since it is inherently so, there is no need to cultivate. Without cultivation, the spontaneously accomplished Dharmakaya. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of Longchen Rabjam Gyalpo, the twenty-seventh chapter, refuting cause and effect and introducing the three bodies. Then, the Bhagavan spoke again: In the nature of phenomena that appear in any way, The various arising is the ornament of the Dharmadhatu. In the nature of phenomena without limit, The limitless appearance is the ornament of its own nature. In the nature of phenomena that cannot be expressed, The arising of various names is very wonderful. In the nature of phenomena without arising or ceasing, The absence of the three times is very wonderful. In the nature of phenomena without object, The accomplishment of all meanings is the power of its own nature. In the nature of phenomena without basis, The inexhaustible is the space of wisdom. In the nature of phenomena without change,
