The power of activity and awareness, the self-existing capacity, Is obtained from the beginning, so there is no need to bestow it. Although unequal appearances arise, they are within the realm of equality, Appearing without equality or inequality. Although unequal states abide, they are within the realm of equality, Abiding without equality or inequality. Although unequal liberations occur, they are within the realm of equality, Liberating without equality or inequality. Self-arising, self-liberating, the capacity of awareness itself, The power of the self-existing capacities of activity and awareness, Is obtained from the beginning, so there is no need to bestow it. Appearance and non-appearance are not in the realm, Liberation and non-liberation are not in the realm. At the time of appearance, it appears within oneself, Self-appearing, one grasps one's own place by oneself. At the time of abiding, it abides within oneself, Self-abiding, one grasps one's own place by oneself. At the time of liberation, it liberates within oneself, Self-liberating, one grasps one's own place by oneself. Appearance abides, and abiding liberates, Liberation appears, so the continuum is unbroken. Because the continuum is unbroken, there is no cause and effect, Because there is no cause and effect, there is no interruption. In the nature of things without interruption, The precipice of samsara cannot be cut off. Having separated from the precipice, one does not take a body, Without a body, where would one fall into error? That which has no change in the three times, Is from the beginning, the expanse of Samantabhadra. That which has no birth or death from the beginning, Is the state of Vajrasattva himself. That which transforms the self-mastery of awareness, Is called the empowerment of meaning. That which sees one's own face by oneself, Is said to be designated as Buddha. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of Longchen Rabjampa, the King, the thirty-sixth chapter, which shows that empowerment is obtained from the beginning, is complete. Then, the father himself, from his own nature, spoke to the retinue who were not different, saying: In the mind of enlightenment, there is no good or bad, All phenomena are thus gone. Although not moving from the state of equality, The manner of the three, outer, inner, and secret, Depending on the substances of the mandala, After empowering with the empowerment substances, The great bliss, the mind of enlightenment, arises, One does not turn back from the meaning of secret mantra. This is known as the outer empowerment. Also, what is shown as the inner empowerment, Is transforming from an ordinary body into a deity, One obtains the deity's power in one's own body. When one meditates and becomes clear as a deity, The body that grasps as self does not remain. Because one transforms the body into the power of a deity, One gives meaning to those who have power. Because the teacher empowers, For those who have stable mindfulness and practice, It is said to be called attainment. The actual basis of what is called empowerment, Is not something that exists elsewhere, The wisdom of awareness abides within oneself.

It is not controlled by afflictions, because I possess it, it is called "power." Others cannot control it, so it is called "power." Because one controls oneself, it is power. What is known as "secret power" is also obtained naturally. Merely visualizing one's own body as the deity, self-grasping naturally does not exist, the mandala of wisdom's self-power is complete. Self-awareness wisdom transforms into self-power, merits are inexhaustible like a treasure. In the wheel of body, speech, and mind, because one can control, it is called "power." The reason for keeping it secret is that although it is not actually visible, it has great power. All Tathagatas also arise from it and cause it to grow. For those of shallow wisdom and inferior vehicle, if this meaning is explained to them, they will be afraid and there is a danger of shrinking back, so secrecy is the means to accomplishment, therefore it is called "secret power." Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Longchen Rabjampa, the thirty-seventh chapter, which explains the distinctions of "power." Then, the teacher, the Bhagavan, again spoke to the retinue who were not different from himself: Bodhicitta is without fault, all dharmas are training, there is training that cannot be trained and training that can be trained. Although Bodhicitta is without fault, by the power of the tamer, there are various methods, which all Buddhas of the three times have spoken, it is the great treasure of the meaning of the pith instructions. What is called samaya, samaya, does not exist separately, one's own view is the samaya. Because all appearances, sounds, and dharmas are integrated into one's own mind, therefore one obtains irreversible self-power from it. When there is awareness without passing away or decay, it appears as it is perceived. Of all beings without exception, it becomes the four or the cause, therefore, one's own Bodhicitta is the basis or source of all samsara and nirvana. When one obtains self-power by oneself, all Bodhicitta without exception, because it is one's own magical display, there is no fear in samsara. Therefore, irreversibility is the samaya, because one abides in its meaning, however one sees, however one hears, however one names, however one forms, however one meditates, however one accomplishes, however one abides, one will not deviate from its meaning, therefore it is called samaya. Non-existence and error, uniqueness and spontaneous accomplishment.
