Now there is no cause for delusion. Third Chapter 235༄༅། Self-nature is deluded, which is also natural realization. In realization, there is no agent or object of realization, and no cause for realization. Fourth, the fruit of the great self, obtaining stability, there is no agent or object, and no cause for stability. Thus, in any of these four, if there is action, there must be a condition. If there is an agent, there must be a means. If it exists like this, because it exists, this conditioned phenomenon is destroyed by the antidote. Just as there is no action in the base, if there is action in the path, it deviates from the meaning of Suchness. Just as there is no agent in the base, if one desires an agent in the path, it deviates from the meaning of Suchness. Just as there is nothing to do in the base, if one desires a stream of action in the path, it deviates from the meaning of Suchness. Whatever arises in the base where there is nothing, it deviates from the meaning of Suchness. Therefore, abandoning action is the essence of Dzogchen. Therefore, abandoning the agent is the essence of spontaneous accomplishment. Therefore, without cause and without condition, it is most excellent. The condition of no action, what is its condition? The means of no agent, what is its means? If these exist, why is it without action? If it is not like this, how can one become a Buddha? In the base, there is no realization, the meaning of realization is delusion. If there is attachment, it is called realization, it is merely the cessation of delusion. By what is realized, what is realized, what is the meaning of realization? If it truly exists, it is indeed a deviation. Therefore, one should view natural arising in this way: the deluded one is me, the object of delusion is me. The realized one is me, the object of realization is me. The speaker is me, the object of speech is me. Self-arisen self, 236 self is pure. Where is there an agent or object? If you say it truly exists, then all actions are impermanent, becoming a Buddha is meaningless, spontaneously accomplished. If something arises in the base where there is nothing, even if it is naturally arisen, it is impermanent. Due to delusion, one sees agent, object, cause, and condition. The base itself is inconceivable, if something arises, whatever arises is impermanent. Khud indicates the connection with the base and above. Lung is the path, reaching the top. The instruction is the repetition of the fruit. The aspects of grasping and being grasped, without characteristics, free from defilements. This is Vajrasattva. The nature of all of samsara and nirvana, is originally equal and without action, appearing as real from delusion. What has passed, there is nothing to be gained. The reality of phenomena is unchanging. Thus, this is the secret key to deviating from the path of Suchness, the ninth. Homage to the Bhagavan, the state of omniscience. The nature of mind is pure, dispelling the mist, eternal cessation.

The four types of knowing are: When both object and mind are present, it is permanent. When there is no object but mind is present, it is awareness. When neither is established, it is annihilation. When there is no mind but object is present, it is inert matter. If there is self, and knowledge is not scattered, then there is no consciousness; it is inert matter. Also, remembering various attachments, unceasingly arising without being born, is awareness; it is also permanent. Constant, nihilistic, and extremist views are refuted. Birth place 237. Born in the place of the four extremes. Outer generation stage arises in the form realm. Inner profound generation stage arises in the desire realm. It should also enter gradually. First, with the five manifest enlightenments, meditate on Heruka as father and mother. Afterwards, meditate on bindu and nada. That is the outer and inner generation stage. Completion and complete essence. The five stages should be arranged without contradiction. First, by cutting off the root of mind itself, leave it in a state where nothing is established. Without consciousness, it is constant annihilation. Then, various kinds of knowledge, just at the moment of arising, have no inherent nature. Everything is mind, appearing and empty. Infinite consciousness, understood by nihilists. All phenomena are like the sky, transcending all superimpositions and slanders. Not grasping as mind, not discriminating objects, the infinite sky is the edge of annihilation. Regarding self, other, existence, non-existence, etc., no consciousness arises, and there is no desire for non-arising. Neither existent nor non-existent, constant annihilation. Nothing exists at all; whatever is said is a fabrication. The essence of meaning is completely absent. What is absent is the edge of annihilation. The outer and inner generation stages are not interrupted. The two bases are inert matter and awareness. Two are permanent, two are annihilation. The two bases, two, are taught in common and distant training. Then, this is the correct view: first, in the reality of things, the place and the act of placing are two without 238, because everything is inseparable from it, everything above is the object of wisdom. When the wisdom of self-grasping is liberated, with what does one establish what? Since self, other, object, and mind are two without, one is liberated from the extremes of permanence and annihilation. Liberated from the extreme of selfless inert matter. Liberated from the extreme of objectless awareness. Since all those are inseparable, without abandoning the extremes, they are naturally purified. View, meditation, action, and result are spontaneously accomplished. Like the sky, meditation, and, just that much, meditation without, and, meditation that is neither existent nor non-existent, and, effortless spontaneous perfection is just that. Alas! All those are wrong sayings!
