Devoid of desire. Wisdom is spontaneously accomplished without difference. This inconceivable wisdom is the essence of immutable self-arising. Thus it is said. From the Secret Tantra of the Wheel of Wisdom, the first chapter, the introduction. Then, the King of Knowledge spoke to Vajrasattva: In the essence of self-arising and immutable, unchanging wisdom pervades like the sky. Thus it is said. Vajrasattva asked: In the self-arising, pure wisdom, how does the knowledge of samsara arise? Thus he asked. The King of Knowledge replied: Although the nature is originally pure, various samsaras arise from non-realization. Thus he replied. Vajrasattva asked: These various samsaras that arise from non-realization, what is the manner of their delusion? Thus he asked. The King of Knowledge replied: The manner of their delusion is like this: delusion arises from the four conditions of root, condition, and manifestation. For example, like someone with cataracts in their eyes, they see rainbows and tangled hairs in the sky. Delusion arises from immature, wrong thoughts. Two co-emergent ones arise simultaneously, sentient beings arise from the Buddha himself. Thus it is said. Vajrasattva asked: Is the delusion of ignorance present or absent on the ground? Thus he asked. The King of Knowledge replied: Although the essence of reality is without delusion, conceptual thoughts of grasping various things arise. For example, seeing a rope as a snake, the essence of the rope is not a snake, but due to cause, condition, and object, it is seen as a snake. Thus it is said. Vajrasattva asked: What is the characteristic of the delusion of ignorance? He replied: Its characteristic is sudden. For example, in a clear mirror, whatever is shown, that condition will definitely appear. Similarly, in the self-luminous Dharma nature, the appearance of wisdom is sudden. The appearance of self, the appearance of other, the appearance of two, are obscured by the conceptual thoughts of self-grasping delusion. Grasping the self, it appears as many. The Dharma nature is like the sky, sudden images are obscured by clouds. The Dharma nature is like flowing water, obscured by the object of sudden conceptual thoughts. When there is a slight delusion due to reversed habitual patterns, like a stake appearing as a person. The stake is not really a person, how is it seen as a person? If the stake were really a person, why wouldn't the truthful ones see it? Merely due to the delusion of cause and condition, it appears, therefore it is connected with various names of truth. Thus it is said.

Oṃ. From the Secret Wisdom Wheel Tantra, Chapter Two: Establishing the Illusion of Ignorance. Vajrasattva asked: What is the way to reverse the illusion of ignorance? The King of All Awareness replied: The way to reverse ignorance is through the appearance of non-affirmation and non-negation. The object of focus is reversed by conditions. The self-luminous, ungrasping nature of reality is reversed by the conditions of the cause of thought. Grasping is reversed by the simultaneous liberation and purification from the object of illusion. Perfection is achieved without sequence, all at once, reversing the extremes of cause and effect. The meaning of realization is inherently meaningful, reversing the subtle dharmas of conceptual imputation. This single, definitive vehicle of equanimity reverses the eight extremes of self-assertion. This vast, impartial state reverses the two extremes of self-assertion. Whatever arises in the mind of conceptual thought is directly cut through by self-arising awareness. Whatever is clung to from the cause of habit is reversed by the nature of non-clinging and freedom from elaboration. With the great medicine of ungrasping, self-arising awareness, one is reversed from the disease of the suffering abyss of samsara. Thus it was said. From the Secret Wisdom Wheel Tantra, Chapter Three: Reversing Illusion. Then, the King of Awareness spoke of this pure, self-arising view: The expanse of equality is pure and vast. Boundless wisdom is spontaneously accomplished. Realization arises spontaneously, without cause or condition. It is not a dharma that arises from elsewhere. Accomplishment and bliss arise spontaneously within oneself. In the state of wisdom as it is, there is no need to apply effortful cause and effect. The vehicles of gradual, effortful mind are taught for the sake of guidance. Although stirred by clinging and conceptualization, the nature of self-arising is not stirred. The dharma of the view without differentiation is the nature that transcends cause and effect. Since it has been present from the beginning, there is no need to do anything. It arises spontaneously, without conditions or interruption. The unobstructed nature is complete and vast. With the great body of spontaneous, effortless arising, all natures are definitively established. Therefore, the words of effortless awareness, if they do not accord with meaning, are like a parrot speaking human language. They are not mixed with excrement, but reveal the nature of essential meaning. One is liberated from the object of clinging to sounds and words. If one possesses the confidence of self-realization, that is the characteristic of a trustworthy spiritual friend. Therefore, I am in accord with the Buddha's words. Thus it was said. From the Secret Wisdom Wheel Tantra, Chapter Four: The View.
