Dharmakāya. Now, listen, all you assembled retinue! Because of falling into extremes of falsely accusing whether there is or is not meditation, Attachment to the extreme of the quiescence of meditation; Without realization, one is devoid of confidence in the meaning of non-meditation. Therefore, it is the path of erroneous views of extremes. O faithful retinue, listen with your mind! The essence of the Ati instruction, the Dharmakāya, Even with meditation, there is no contradiction, the mind is like the sky. Even without meditation, there is no separation from realizing the Dharmakāya. On the path to enlightenment, the realization of mind itself is great. Sempa Dorje (སེམས་དཔའ་རྡོ་རྗེས་) asked about the meaning of the mind: Are Buddhas and sentient beings one or different? If different, there is no connection, and compassion cannot benefit. If one, why do the six realms of sentient beings arise? Kunrig (ཀུན་རིག་) the teacher spoke, listen with your mind! These two do not appear as separate entities, If realized, compassion arises because the essence is one. One's own mind, ignorance, and conceptual thoughts are suffering. In meaning, there is no difference, the nature of mind is spontaneously accomplished. The assembled gathering asked about the meaning of mind with their minds. If Buddhas and sentient beings are cause and effect, The three things arising from the Buddha become meaningless. The two accumulations arising from sentient beings, when do they not accumulate? Kunrig (ཀུན་རིག་) the teacher spoke to the retinue: Buddhas and sentient beings are of one taste in cause and effect, Not arising from one dependent on the other, The essence of both is one in the Dharmakāya of one's own mind. With the two aspects of faults and virtues of Buddhas and sentient beings, After establishing any basis for the delusion of reality, Even if arguing about either of the two, there is no contradiction, If taking any side of ignorance or wisdom, Because everything is and everything is not. Which is the delusion, having a cause or not having a cause? Establishing the basis without error is said to be extremely precious. Sempa Dorje (སེམས་དཔའ་རྡོ་རྗེས་) asked the meaning of the retinue: The wise ones say this about what one has within oneself: If it is inherently present, there is no need to teach the instructions. If it is not, like a rabbit's horn, the cause is not observed. Kunrig (ཀུན་རིག་) the teacher spoke to the retinue: The Dharmakāya that is inherently present within oneself, By the lama pointing out and showing the meaning of one's own mind, From knowing ignorance and conceptual thoughts as the Dharmakāya, It is not taught by searching elsewhere. The faithful retinue asked about the great meaning with their minds. The lama's instructions, not thinking about the object, Merely experiencing quiescence is the cause of faults, If realized, it is one's own continuum, therefore not instructions. Then it becomes a state of no recollection and no conception.

Furthermore, Bodhisattva Vajra Essence, listen! Not thinking about objects is itself meditation. The basis of both thinking and not thinking is the nature of reality, the enlightened mind, because it is decisive in the beginning and the end. Moreover, if the meaning of self-arisen wisdom is realized, then the object itself is neither thought about nor meditated upon, but abides in its meaning. Furthermore, it contradicts the meaning of being altered by instructions. Unaltered instructions make the teachings unnecessary. Furthermore, the assembled retinue, listen with your mind! The profound meaning of the instructions of a wise lama is that the all-ground, the basis, the essence of the Dharmakaya, is unalterable, and one's own mind is like the sky. Because the five senses are confused about objects, sever the connection. By showing how to look at the mind, afflictions are liberated. Therefore, the meaning of the teachings is said to be extremely precious. From the Tantra of the King of Thoroughly Exhausting Wisdom in the Great Perfection of View, the twenty-first chapter, which dispels the obstacles of doubt. Then, he spoke to the assembled gathering: If one thoroughly realizes the non-duality of wisdom and reality, then because there is no grasping at the various names and terms, there is no attachment to objects, and ignorance is self-liberated. The sign of experiencing meditation without searching is that when one encounters whatever benefits or harms, and when the mind of love and hatred arises, that yogi who clearly illuminates it with equanimity is a sign of experiencing the non-duality of wisdom and reality. Furthermore, Bodhisattva Vajra, listen now! Even though Samantabhadra appears with light before the senses and teaches the Dharma, he is motivated by a virtuous mind, and he is not afraid even when the fears of Yama arise. Secondly, because he knows that it is a delusion, there is no acceptance or rejection. This is a sign of experiential confidence in the view. No matter what differences in vehicles and teachings are taught, because he realizes that there is no good or bad in meaning, he is free from exaggeration and denigration. This is a sign of experiencing tolerance of the Dharma. No matter what suffering or happiness arises in body, speech, and mind, he does not look at faults or virtues, because his own mind is a delusion. If he has confidence in the view without before or after, it is a sign of experiencing the self-illumination of reality. Even if illnesses and obstacles that are incompatible with the body arise, apart from the habits and afflictions, and the increase of thoughts, because there is no attachment, the yogi who does not abandon the faith of the Dharmakaya but remembers it is a sign of experiencing the effortless accomplishment of realization. Furthermore, the essence of the assembly, listen now! To the mind of enlightenment
