For the sake of examining directions and for future generations with faith, I made aspirations for benefit and kept them hidden. From the Great Perfection View, the Tantra of Exhausting the Depths of Wisdom, the chapter on entrusting the tantra to the retinue, the twenty-seventh. This Great Perfection View, the Tantra of Exhausting the Depths of Wisdom, from the land of Oddiyana (乌仗那), from the Yungdrung of White Sand, the teacher of Simhala, Dharmagarbha, explained it to the teacher of Oddiyana, Mahabodhi. Then he explained it to Acharya Dranpajnyana. He brought it to Tibet, and the Dharma with the golden bell tree was completed. In the language of India: Vajrasattvākāśavipulaguhyagarbhaprakṛtyarthatantra In the Tibetan language: Dorje Sempa Namkha Che Sangwai Nyingpo Nalma Don gyi Gyü (རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་ དཔའ་ནམ་མཁའ་ཆེ་གསང་བའི་སྙིང་པོ་རྣལ་མ་དོན་གྱི་རྒྱུད།). Homage to glorious Vajrasattva. At one time, as I have said, the Bhagavan, the Great Perfection of Naturalness, the spontaneously accomplished wisdom, the king of self-arisen awareness, the great bliss of clear light bindu, in the palace of unchanging awareness, the Buddhas of the three times, and the sentient beings of the three realms, and those who follow the path, resided together without separation. Then, the Tathagata, the King of Awareness, Vajra of Awareness, asked this: Emaho, the secret of all the intentions, the essence of emptiness, peace, and compassion, the supreme meaning of the heart of the heart, please explain well the meaning of the Great Perfection. Thus he requested. Then, the Tathagata, the King of Awareness, spoke of the meaning of the great bindu that cannot be found: In the nature of the self-arisen secret bindu, all dharmas are gathered without omission, without going, without effort, spontaneously accomplished, not attained by training, but the expanse of perfection, the King of Awareness, all clear, the Lord who perfects all desires, the ocean of wisdom, the path of liberation, all vehicles are perfect, vast as the sky, the very essence of self-awareness, the essence of all, the Dharmadhatu, empty of all additions and subtractions, one, yet completely without aspects, because all is perfected in one vehicle, wisdom is immaculate and completely pure, the self-arisen bindu rises like the sun, the great pervading Dharmakaya, the great emptiness, the womb of awareness, primordially pure, without passing away, the secret wisdom, Bodhicitta,

The great expanse is inherently one, The great bindu is primordially revealed, Abiding in the realm without gathering or scattering. Without addition or subtraction, without an object of focus, Self-awareness is clear, without center or edge. The nature of all is inherently secret, Therefore, it is empty of the realm of conceptual grasping. Unwavering awareness co-exists, There is no need to demonstrate the wheel of samadhi. Since all is complete in the self-arisen realization, Without seeking, spontaneously accomplished, arising from itself. Since the Great Seal abides in self-nature, Without meditation, in a state without change. This Great Seal of objectless awareness, Blazes with light in the essence of wisdom. Since the essence of all abides in self-nature, This very nature is difficult to fathom. In the completion of the essence of a single bindu, All phenomena are complete, abiding in essence. In the bindu of all meanings completely perfected, Since self-nature abides, there is no sequence. The essence of awareness is the life-force of meaning, This life-force is the very essence of the vehicle. The supreme perfection of the wisdom Great Seal, The meaning of the unchanging, that very thing alone. All conceptual thoughts and efforts are exhausted, Since the causeless mind is free from conditions. How could there be arising, ceasing, or change? Since it is primordially attained, there is nothing to do. Since it is spontaneously accomplished, there is no thought. Since it is complete in itself, there is nothing to accomplish. Since there is no object of focus, there is nothing to meditate on. Since it is complete in one moment, there is nothing to traverse. In the Great Seal of wisdom awareness, The fruits of liberation are all completely possessed. The sound of secret, self-arisen awareness, Is not expressed in words, but known through meaning. Thus, abiding in oneness, Seeing difference is the path of delusion. In the completion of the essence of mind itself, There is no memory, sense faculty, or mental activity. The activity of body, speech, and mind has no place to abide, Abiding in comfort, there is no acceptance or rejection. Thus it is said. From the life-force of the true essence of meaning, the first chapter, the introduction. Then again, the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the King of Effortless Awareness, Having entered into spontaneously accomplished samadhi, spoke thus: Unsought, spontaneously accomplished, unconditioned dharmadhatu, Uncontrived, unmade, primordially suchness itself. This realm of self-arisen secret is inexpressible, Transcending the realm of representation, measurement, and speculation. Since the awareness of the three times is perfectly pure and undifferentiated, Undifferentiated awareness is spontaneously perfected as one. Unaccumulated, unpurified, the realm of primordially enlightened, The realm of boundless awareness cannot be thought or spoken.
