Why is that? Having asked in mind, after hearing the meaning and understanding it in the heart, The Teacher, the All-Knowing King, the Lord of Dharma, After opening the precious door of the mandala of the heart, From the song of the glorious Buddha, he bestowed the teachings: Samsara and Nirvana, the four are the body of self-nature, If the self-arisen meaning of the Buddha is realized, Samantabhadra, the self-arisen Bhagavan, The wisdom is extremely vast, the supreme Dharma body, In the unborn, unceasing nature of space, Even delusion and realization are the realm of wisdom and bliss. For example, a great garuda soars against the current of a river, Without fear, on the path of practice in the sky, Likewise, from the beginning, the mind-trained yogi's heart, Those who are fortunate enough to realize the essence of the Buddha, Those who possess the key to accomplishing the Dharmakaya, From that comes the realization of meaning, wisdom, and qualities. Therefore, from the basis, the unchanging command of the Victorious One, In that, there is no increase or decrease, the supreme realization, The manifest Buddha is accomplished right now. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Perfection from the Depths of View and Wisdom, The fourteenth chapter, which shows the arising of the Buddha's wisdom. Then, he bestowed teachings upon the assembled retinue: The Buddha, the King, the supreme Dharmakaya, Samsara and Nirvana are not established, perfected in the realm of awareness. Because the basis is without change, the confidence of view. Not relying on objects, the self-aware Dharmakaya, Like space, because wisdom is boundless, In meaning, unchanging, self-aware wisdom, Not stained by faults, in evil views, Because there is no change, the realm of the expanse of Dharma. In the unborn, unceasing, self-arisen view, Not found through meditation, the unchanging meaning through realization. Like the absence of gathering and scattering without meditation, the self-aware mind, Even if wandering in kalpas, in the essence of self-nature, There is no birth or death, the supreme view of awareness. In meaning, without meditation, the path of wisdom's consummation, Because there is no hope or fear, there is no possibility of falling into samsara. From the beginning, it is the unchanging essence of bodhichitta. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Perfection from the Depths of View and Wisdom, The fifteenth chapter, which shows the absence of change in meaning. Then, the All-Knowing Teacher spoke again: Samsara and Nirvana, appearances are not definitely one, The objects of delusion, however they appear, Because various habitual tendencies have increased, they are true in the face of delusion. In meaning, it is not true, because the power of grasping and clinging has increased, As one becomes accustomed, so it appears.

Furthermore, does appearance exist because it is examined by the mind? If it does, then all six types of beings would have a common appearance. Now again, assembled heroes, listen with your minds. From the beginning, self-delusion arises from the three aspects of the ground of all (ālaya): one's own mind, perceived appearances, and various individual forms. Therefore, habits and the mind appear separately. Because the essence of the Dharmakāya is unchanging, and because what is labeled by the mind is not a single object or place, there is no doubt that one's own mind appears as delusion. Therefore, the sense faculties and their objects do not exist on the ground. The deluded mind of awareness is the individual mind of each being. If it were one, then the ripening results of virtue and vice would be experienced by all beings, even those who have not practiced them. Because the ripening of karma is not established as common, the increase of habits is the suffering of delusion. Now again, listen, great Vajrasattva. Because the ground and appearance are unrelated, and because objects are the increase of deluded habits, and because the objects of the unfixed mind are various, it is said that without ignorance, harm cannot occur. This concludes the sixteenth chapter, "The Chapter on Showing That Unfixed Appearance Does Not Contradict Meaning," from the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Quintessence of Wisdom and View. Then, Kunrig Chöje spoke: Even if uncultivated awareness is left in its natural state, there is no other way than to know that the appearances of external objects are delusions. Because the eight worldly concerns are liberated in their own place and are equal, beings themselves do not abandon the Dharmakāya. For example, the Ashoka tree itself knows itself as nectar. Likewise, this mind of beings is the ordinary Bodhicitta, the meaning of which is shown by the guru. The essence of self is inherently the meaning itself. Now again, listen, assembled Vajrasattva. Beings who have not realized the meaning of Dharmatā, through the power of the meaning of the scriptures and instructions, realize their own mind and are therefore not beings. The wise say that there is no straying from non-cultivation. Because the essence of reality has neither permanence nor annihilation, and because the self-luminous nature of mind is not forgotten, there is no straying into idle talk that has not been taught. For example, whatever is touched by gold-transforming essence does not change into anything other than gold. Likewise, the minds of non-Buddhist beings are also minds touched by the gold-transforming essence of instructions. Non-Buddhists also remain in a state of wisdom and bliss. Because they are not attached to objects, there is no need to cultivate. Great Perfection, the Quintessence of Wisdom and View.
