The Tantra of the Great Perfection that Thoroughly Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance: The View of Wisdom's Profound Completion. In Sanskrit: Mahāsandhyāvidyātamaḥpratyādeśadṛṣṭijñānanimnapūraṇatantranāma. In Tibetan: The Tantra of the Great Perfection that Thoroughly Dispels the Darkness of Ignorance: The View of Wisdom's Profound Completion. Homage to the Bhagavan, the glorious Samantabhadra Dharmaraja, who possesses the body of wisdom. Thus I have heard, at one time of knowing and understanding, the self-arisen Samantabhadra, the King, in the great place of the meaning of samsara and nirvana, with his own wisdom and the faithful retinue of belief, without uttering a word, the teachings naturally abide. Buddhas and sentient beings arise from the essence itself, all dharmas are the unmoving, self-arisen body. That itself is Samantabhadra, who is all good through self-awareness and realization. The supreme one who reveals one's own essence of wisdom. The definitive meaning of the fortunate and holy yogis. That wisdom without expanse or narrowness, before or after. In the Akanishtha (Ogmin, Pure Land) without birth, cessation, beginning, or end. The supreme place of the self-arisen, all-pervading Dharmadhatu. Through the blessings of the five Dharmakayas gathered there. The Sugatas, the Victorious Ones, the five families, and so forth. The vidyadharas, the emanations, and the faithful retinue. All are the supreme retinue gathered from the very beginning. In the essence of mind, which does not think of any of the three times. Not before, not after, but inherently the present itself. Since mind itself desires uncorrected self-awareness. The supreme holiness is one within time. Because the self-arisen Dharmakaya abides in the mind. That definitive wisdom of true meaning. The pith instructions that cannot be expressed in words. The Buddhas all teach the nature of reality. At that time, Vajrasattva asked the meaning. The definitive meaning of the intention of all Buddhas. That unerroneous, uncorrected, self-arisen Dharmakaya. The means by which sentient beings can surely realize with their minds. The Samantabhadra teacher, please explain the Dharma. Hearing the meaning of the request, he gave the command of his heart. I will explain the definitive meaning, unerroneous definitive meaning. All the people of the three realms, without exception. Are not subdued by the definitive meaning, but by the provisional meaning. Harming life, being stingy with wealth, and engaging in sin without regret. With many broken vows, life is short and inauspicious. At that time, if the heart essence of the Great Perfection explains the meaning.

The Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas are afraid, They falsely accuse and revile the Tantras, Agamas, and Yogas. They are hypocritical Sangha members who are hateful and jealous. Those sinful ones who have conflicting thoughts about this definitive meaning Will surely go to hell; it is eternally pitiable. Like searching all the oceans, it is difficult to find a precious jewel, Disciples with the capacity and faith are extremely rare. Therefore, it is kept as an extremely secret treasure. The view of the Great Perfection, which thoroughly dispels the darkness of ignorance, from the Tantra of the Perfection of Primordial Wisdom, the first chapter, which speaks of the secret basis of meaning. Having spoken thus, the retinue understood the meaning, And in order to express their suffering, they requested the meaning with their minds: "Minds wandering in suffering due to the karma of ignorance, Clinging to the power of grasping and fixation, By what net of conceptualization can the means of cutting be achieved? With great compassion, may non-grasping sever the hope. The arising of extremely authentic yoga is difficult, Sentient beings have short lives, and deeply encounter birth, old age, sickness, and death. It is pitiable that they are enveloped by the darkness of ignorance. It is hopeless that the beings of the six realms are not liberated from samsara. May your own mind be the earth wheel, and may you be the earth-maker for me. Although you are disgusted with the karma of sentient beings with compassion, Will you not act for the benefit of beings with compassion? Sentient beings, gods and humans, have coarse knowledge, Due to grasping at objects that distract the senses, Life is difficult, and there are many illnesses and obstacles, They do not attain the path of liberation, and wander in samsara. For the sake of realizing the definitive meaning of the instructions, Having vowed to be vessels according to the teachings, May you speak with compassion about the definitive meaning of effortless liberation." From the Tantra of the Perfection of Primordial Wisdom, the chapter on the retinue expressing their suffering, the second chapter. Then, the assembled Vajrasattva, Looking with his mind, certainly spoke: "The lineage of instructions that cannot be meditated upon and is inseparable, From the mind of Samantabhadra, my lineage, To the wise one blessed with definitive meaning, To the fortunate disciple who desires to realize his own mind, With faith, having made himself extremely respectful, Without regard for body, possessions, or life, Rakshasa girls and so on, well adorned, Horses, elephants, and wealth, Without stinginess, offer to the gurus. Now listen to the essence of the retinue, Those who are diligent for the sake of Dharma and possess vows, With steadfast mind, great wisdom, and
