The unconflicting self-mind is like the sky, Even without cultivation, there is no loss of Dharmakaya. In the path of Bodhi, it is precious to realize the nature of mind. Vajrasattva asked the meaning with his mind: Are Buddhas and sentient beings one or different? If different and unrelated, compassion is useless. If one, why do the sufferings of the six realms arise? The Omniscient Teacher spoke, listen with your mind: These two are not appearances of separate things, If realized, compassion arises because of the essence of oneness. One's own mind not awakened, conceptual thoughts are suffering. In essence, there is no difference, the nature of mind is spontaneously accomplished. The assembled gathering asked the meaning of self-interest with their minds: If Buddhas and sentient beings are cause and effect, The three aspects arising from Buddhas become meaningless. The two accumulations arising from sentient beings are impermanent. The Omniscient Teacher spoke: Buddhas and sentient beings are of one taste of cause and effect, Not that one arises from the other in dependence, But in the essence of both, self-mind is one with Dharmakaya. Buddhas and sentient beings have two aspects of faults and virtues, Based on whichever is the basis of the delusion of Dharmata, There is no contradiction even if arguing in either way. If one takes sides with ignorance or wisdom, Because everything is absent in the mind, Which is the delusion, having a cause or without a cause? It is said to be extremely important to establish the basis without error. Vajrasattva asked the meaning of the retinue: If it exists within oneself, how do the wise demonstrate it? If it has always existed, there is no need to show instructions. If it does not exist, like a rabbit's horn, the cause is not seen. The All-Knowing Great One spoke to the retinue: The Dharmakaya that has always existed within oneself, By the Lama pointing out and showing the meaning of self-mind, From knowing the Dharmakaya as ignorance and conceptual thoughts, It is not found by searching separately. The faithful listeners asked with their minds for the sake of the meaning: The Guru's instructions not contemplating on objects, The experience of exertion, the fault of dwelling in peace, Therefore, if realized, it is one's own continuum, so it is not instructions. Not remembering, consciousness ceases, therefore falling asleep. Now again, Vajrasattva, listen with your mind: Not contemplating on objects is itself meditation, It is the basis of both realization and non-remembrance, If beginning and end are cut, it is the nature of Dharmata, Bodhicitta. If the meaning of that self-arisen wisdom is realized, The object itself is not contemplated, the meaning of meditation arises. If corrected with instructions, it contradicts the meaning, Uncorrected instructions, there is no need for teachings.

Da. Now, all the assembled retinue, listen with your mind. With the profound meaning of the oral instructions of a learned scholar with lineage, The very nature of the Dharmakaya, the basis of all, Is like the sky of one's own mind, without any need for alteration. Because the five senses are deluded by their objects, the connection is severed. Looking at the mind reveals the liberation from afflictions. Therefore, understanding the meaning of the teachings is extremely precious. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the View of Primordial Wisdom, which is complete from the depths, Chapter Thirty-One, which teaches the removal of doubts and obstacles. Then, for the sake of the assembly, I asked again: What is the samaya of conduct that prevents obstacles from arising? What are the faults of a yogi's degenerated view? How should the means of restoration be taught? How will the fruit of restoration arise? Please, King of Equality, reveal the lineage. Hearing the meaning of the question, he bestowed his teachings with compassion: The samaya of conduct that prevents obstacles from arising is: One who holds the oral instructions of the definitive lineage, And despises the vajra master, the enemy of the body, Even for a moment, should not leave, should be abandoned. To the disciple who is intimate and respectful, The dakinis will create obstacles, causing a short life and many diseases. At death, one will be reborn in the extremely hot hell. Subduing the enemy of the body and abandoning them will bring about accomplishments. Da. Again, listen to the essence of the assembly. In order to protect the same samaya, Through fighting and black magic battles by those who break their vows, One should not forcefully stop them; it is said to be against the teachings. If done, the pure lineage Dharma protectors will become wrathful, Diseases will arise, and one will be separated from the deity of practice. In the future, one will lose memory and be reborn in the hell of the mute. Therefore, one should abandon actions and abide in meaning. Now, listen again to the essence of the assembly. The yogi with definitive lineage, In order to show the conduct of vidyadharas, The meat of horses, cattle, and round-hoofed animals should always be abandoned. If not abandoned, enemies and thieves will create obstacles. In the future, one will be reborn in the realm of pretas, demons, and spirits. Therefore, the yogi with definitive lineage, Should practice purity like a Brahmin. Surely, one will receive the blessings of the vidyadharas. Now, Vajrasattva, listen with your mind. In order to protect the samaya of the guru's mind, The Dharma of this teaching of true and definitive meaning, Should be received without error by a faithful disciple who is a vessel and has karma, The lineage of the Victorious One's teachings. Sever or judge. If one exchanges this with the Dharma of the Lesser Vehicle Dharma protectors, Obstacles will arise.
