Now, become even more confident. Therefore, one's own mind is the intention. Therein dwells wisdom that is exceedingly great. Experiences arise gradually from the outside. When that arises, do not generate thoughts of joy or sorrow. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. From the meanings that represent various categories, turn back and abide in the state of unspeakable. Without following after the seals, because the Dharma that can be meditated upon is taught. Therefore, without distraction, meditation is, from oneself to other retinues, abiding in knowing through the door of meaning. The Vidyadhara Bodhisattvas also, through familiarity with Samadhi, attain stability. The faithful listeners who abide in the retinue also, become familiar with the view of aspiration. Yogis with inferior intelligence, desire a place and unmoving spontaneous accomplishment. Therefore, it is difficult to realize one's own mind. The Great Perfection, the Quintessence of all Definitive Meanings, from the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to Space, the chapter that shows the distinction between what can and cannot be meditated upon is the forty-fourth. Then, to the assembled gatherings, the King of Mind, Kunjig, spoke to the assembled retinue: The Dharmakaya that has always existed, from the difference between realization and non-realization, listen well and keep it in mind. Sentient beings who do not realize their own minds, from where to where in Samsara do they wander? Because they do not know how to reverse confusion, they cling to the duality of existence and non-existence, grasping at confusion as truth. Retinue, answer by examining the Dharma, and also listen to the essence of the gathering. Because they do not understand what is not realized, what wrong view is the path of error? They are confused by ignorance about the meaning of non-duality. Therefore, if non-duality is not realized, they endure suffering through the efforts of body, speech, and mind. Therefore, if there is no lineage of definitive meaning, liberation is impossible through the knowledge of the nine vehicles. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. For the Dharmata that has always existed, if it meets with the definitive meaning of the lineage, at the time of realization, in this very life, realize the essence of your own mind! Kunjig, I have a beginning and an end. For the sake of offering at one time, I manifest as a Buddha. All the Buddhas of the past also, because I exist, have a beginning and an end. I do not take birth, and the last one appears. The Bodhisattvas who have not yet come, if the beginning and end are not certain, there is no effort. Therefore, it is difficult to realize one's own mind, not to mention all sentient beings. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. Therefore, one who has the lineage of the gathering, one who knows how to reverse confusion, certainty

This instruction, by showing, realizes the meaning in an instant, has the same intention as all Buddhas, and knows everything in order to end the beginning and the end. Now, this great tantra of certainty is wonderful because it is enough to realize it. Therefore, it is said to be the most excellent of all dharmas, as it is effortless and of great meaning. The Great Perfection, which includes all definitive meanings, from the tantra of wisdom equal to the sky, is the forty-fifth chapter, which distinguishes the difference between realization and non-realization. The ninth teaching is summarized. Then Vajrasattva, for the sake of the assembly of the gathered, to the King of Dharma, Kunrig, requested the necessity of certainty as follows: How are space and dharmata similar? How is dharmakaya superior to that? What is the worldly example similar to? How is the meaning superior to that? Please, Kunrig, the teacher, explain. After hearing the meaning of the question, he spoke to the gathered assembly: Well asked, I will explain. Keep it in mind and strive for the meaning. The common example for understanding that meaning is that the characteristic of space is that there is no object. Because it is united with that, there is no elaboration. The nature of dharmata is just like that. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, the characteristic of space cannot be grasped. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no going and coming. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no gathering and scattering. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no action or searching. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no beginning or middle. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no up or down. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no appearance or emptiness. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no good or bad. The nature of dharmata is just like that. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, the characteristic of space is that there is no creation. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no birth or death. The nature of dharmata is just like that. The characteristic of space is that there is no increase or decrease. The nature of dharmata is just like that. Space is the basis of all elements. The nature of dharmata is just like that. Space is the basis of all that remains. The nature of dharmata is just like that. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. Although there are such similar examples, the difference in meaning is inconceivable. Therefore, speak in reverse of that.
