The Earth said: Mind is the root of samsara, the realm is where various appearances arise, and the mind clings to various thoughts. Therefore, mind is the cause of samsara. Because it is the mind that clings to permanence and annihilation, wrong views arise from the mind. Whatever is thought of is a delusion of one's own mind. Deluded thoughts arising from the mind generate all attachment and aversion. Therefore, samsara is made by the mind. Then, the suffering of samsara originates from the mind. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. The thoughts created by the mind, the countless cycles of birth and death, are not self-arisen because they are created by the mind. Therefore, this mind is suddenly there. It grows and clings to the eight worldly dharmas. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. Foolish ones who have not seen the ultimate meaning! They say that there is no dharma other than the mind. Therefore, such ignorant wisdom is truly mistaken. Fools practice, and are destroyed by practicing darkness. Whatever is thought of, the dharma of the mind is wrong. All mental misdeeds, the mind of acceptance and rejection is extremely confused. Revealing righteousness as the mind is destructive. Through analysis and fabrication, this mind is disturbed. With clever words hoping to understand, they confuse the teachings of the ultimate meaning that are without error. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. All ignorant and deluded people say that the Dharmakaya is the mind itself. Therefore, they do not understand the meaning from the words. All those who understand the ultimate meaning from names, therefore, the mind cannot attain enlightenment. The analogy for seeking that Suchness is that an elephant is found by searching from behind. If you seek meaning from the perspective of the mind, you will find the wisdom of self-luminous awareness. Finding it means being free from clinging to the mind. Free from clinging, without mind, is the self-luminous body. That meaning is the inseparable realm of enlightenment. Samadhi free from mind constantly abides. Listen again to the essence of the gathering. Wanting to become a Buddha from the mind is like a barren woman wanting a child and getting married. Saying that appearance is the mind is like mistaking copper for gold. Therefore, if you find the meaning with transmission, by realizing the meaning of self-arisen essence, ignorance is dispelled and the self-mind is destroyed. Therefore, the Dharmakaya is immutable. The Great Perfection, all ultimate meanings gathered, from the tantra equal to the wisdom space, the seventeenth chapter, which explains that the self-mind has no ultimate meaning. Then, for the gathered assembly, King Samantabhadra, out of compassion, specifically distinguished and spoke the examples representing the various names of the mind.

These are just a few examples; the number is countless and beyond words. For the heap of faults of the evil mind, the distinctions are shown by examples. From the tantra of the Great Perfection, the gathering of all definitive meanings, equal to the wisdom sky, the fifteenth chapter, which shows the distinctions of the mind's examples.
