Explanation. Like a blind person's guiding rope. It is the bright guide that reveals wisdom. It is the drying up of the ocean of afflictions and suffering. To slander the teachers, Is like extinguishing a lamp in a dark cave, Like not having the function of seeing. Suffering and misery will last for a long time, Will be experienced in many eons. Therefore, always be respectful. To the teacher who gives rise to self-awareness, Accept with utmost importance. To the parents who give rise to body and mind, Always serve them without interruption. The Vajra brothers and sisters, Are the companions who walk together on the path to unsurpassed enlightenment. Through the power of the Dharma's nature, vows, and aspirations, The continuous lineage of Vajra vows. Always do not separate from them, To turn away and be hostile to them, Is like stabbing oneself with a sword, One will cut off and destroy one's own life for five hundred lifetimes. Various discomforts in this life, Will occur unwillingly. Also in the worlds of the afterlife, The sufferings of the three lower realms and the states without leisure, Will be experienced continuously, One will not be liberated for a long time, One will experience extreme misery. Practice together like one accomplished being, The brothers of non-dual practice and following practice, Are the unsurpassed mandala of the Sugatas. Always illuminate with the light of wisdom, Do not propagate the secret vehicle. The vows of body, speech, and mind, etc., Those who possess the wisdom of the yogic realm, Having realized the realm and wisdom as they are, Having transcended the actions of breaking vows, Realize correctly, unlike ordinary people. And all aspects of non-realization, Keep extremely secret from all beings. For the sake of secrecy, various instructions are spoken, The practice of skillful means of secret mantra is taught. Secret mantra is not faulty, With great compassion and skillful means, For those who are not vessels and the dull-witted, It is kept secret for the sake of bad karma. The secret meaning of Dzogchen Ati, If it is proclaimed to the inferior, For example, if a fire-drilling stick is put into the fire, The fire-drilling stick itself will also be burned, Just as others will also be burned, The true meaning of secret mantra is like fire. Those who have little merit and little wisdom, The foolish who are ignorant of cause and effect, By slandering the meaning of Dzogchen, Will be thrown into the three lower realms, Not understanding the true meaning, they will experience suffering. Also, the one who increases the secret, Is like plowing a field on the tongue that speaks.

Will experience great suffering. Therefore, this definite meaning should be kept secret, not even a whisper should be revealed. Will experience long-lasting, never-ending, extremely miserable suffering. Practice together like one accomplished being. If one does not abide in this, the enemies of the five poisons of affliction will arise, and there will be no opportunity to be liberated from samsara. This is also such a teaching: Affliction, suffering, and desire will be obscured by the body and food, and will go to the place of suffering of the pretas, turning into the suffering of thirst and hunger. Seeing the pus, blood, and disgusting vomit, there is no freedom to enjoy it, and it will be destroyed by roughness and ugliness. Like these and other five afflictions, one will experience the path and situation of suffering. Alas, the merit of guarding is like this: The five poisons of affliction are wisdom, and this is also such a teaching: Closing the five doors of the path of samsara, entering the path of awareness, one will obtain the definite meaning of self-awareness, and the palace of wisdom will be perfected. Equal in the state of self-aware clarity, awareness is in the state of non-conceptual peace, obtaining the definite samadhi of secret meaning. The self-aware luminosity will not be obscured by the darkness of ignorance, enjoying in the manifestation of appearing objects. Since all dharmas are beyond expression, beings have the body of self-awareness in their bodies, which is an extremely luminous and pure path, existing in the manner of a continuous lineage. The Victorious One said that the place of all five poisons of all beings will be completely destroyed. The pride of all beings is the treasure of generating qualities, because one does not cling to self and what belongs to self, the deluded mind of all beings will also generate pride. The extremely coarse pride of armies and so on, because it is the mandala of wisdom, one will see the manifestation of self-awareness. The jealousy of all beings, if one realizes the meaning of no-self, there is no narrow or broad view, and the wisdom of bliss is accomplished in oneself. If one does not understand the reality of jealousy, one will cling to self and what belongs to self, and will be reborn in the place of the asuras, and then experience the suffering of the pretas. If one obtains a human body, one will become very uneasy and doubtful. Furthermore, for all enjoyments, there is no autonomy, and one will become controlled by others. In short, one will lose the root of wisdom. If one sees the meaning of jealousy itself, broad and
