Like a debt relationship that is not resolved, it is impossible to realize one's own mind as the Dharmakaya. In the bardo of existence, if there is no benefit from all the Buddhas, it is like losing a precious jewel in the mud, and the fruit does not arise but enters the womb. This is the essence of the compilation, listen! When arguing with other vehicles, if there is no meaning of important decisions, like a warrior without armor, one cannot obtain the special qualities of profound instructions. This is the essence of the compilation, listen! Therefore, those wrong paths are all because one has not realized the essence of one's own mind. Possessing scriptures but lacking instructions is the fault of samsara, and even if kalpas are counted, one will not obtain happiness. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Wheel of Spontaneous Bliss, which Compiles the Meaning, the chapter showing the faults of not having instructions is the sixtieth chapter. Then, the King of All Awareness taught the faithful assembly: With the time of ignorance and confusion, even if one recites the sutras to exorcise demons, because of praising oneself and disparaging others, one will surely fall into the gate of evil destinies. Obstructing the good thoughts and actions of others is a demon, and being stingy without realization, one falls into the gate of demons and wanders in samsara. Being jealous of the retinues of others, even if one knows many qualities, if one does not realize the essence of one's own mind, one falls into the gate of yakshas and constantly wanders. Not realizing equality, in one's own continuum, engaging in coarse actions such as attachment and aversion, because of the fault of arbitrarily engaging in the five poisons, one falls into the gate of rakshasas and constantly wanders. Without obtaining self-mastery in samadhi, thinking of dividing retinues and factions, desiring to be great oneself and gathering retinues, one falls into the place of great flesh-eating demons. This is Vajrasattva, listen! Without error and without realization, becoming a teacher of others with wrong views, not understanding oneself and liberating others, one falls into the gate of Rahula and constantly wanders. Even if one is skilled in the activities of words, because of not realizing and grasping at things, because of manifesting attachment to one's own continuum or possessions, one falls into the gate of ghosts and crows and wanders. Drawing support from the path of means, constantly and arbitrarily engaging in desire, not grasping with view and being attached to pleasure, one falls into the gate of great gods and wanders in samsara. Not realizing the self and self-grasping, claiming to be the view and conduct of secret mantra, killing all sentient beings without compassion, one falls into the gate of eternalism and nihilism of heretics and wanders. This is the essence of the compilation, listen! Engaging in everything with the power of non-realization,

Therefore, in response to these words, no matter what nine evil deeds are committed, one will surely fall into hell and wander forever. From the Dzogchen Great Perfection, the Tantra of the Spontaneous Wheel of Bliss, which Embodies the Meaning, the chapter on showing the door to falling into non-realization, which is the eleventh chapter. Thereafter, Vajrasattva, for the benefit of the faithful retinue, asked the King of Primordial Awareness with a true heart: How is the self-mind of Samantabhadra realized? How is the definitive meaning of the essential meaning summarized? What remedies the reversal of before and after? How does the clarity of self-mind appear? Having heard the meaning of this question, the King of Primordial Awareness declared: I will explain the meaning I have realized, do not be distracted by other things, focus your mind. As he said this, all the retinue rejoiced with faith, and single-mindedly entered into the meaning. At that time, the Teacher declared: If one is not defiled by the arising of samsara and nirvana, the spontaneously born body of essential nature, in the absence of delusion and realization, because there is no realm for expressive words to be used, any clinging thoughts will not arise, that is self-knowing in meaning, without any addition or subtraction, naturally clear, unchanging from that, know it as the Dharmakaya. Since there was no delusion before, there is no need to point it out, without pointing it out, awareness naturally arises. At that time, ignorance dissipates, and because there are no habitual tendencies, wisdom increases. One's own awareness of oneself is the body of wisdom, unmoving from that, spontaneously accomplished. Therefore, self-arisenness has no cause or condition, from that arises faith and confidence, arising from the four conditions, free from ignorance. Therefore, one has never fallen into samsara. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen, selfless self-awareness, know it as the Dharmakaya, there is no need to accomplish great qualities, there is no Buddha for one's own benefit and happiness, therefore, one has never experienced nirvana, because there is no conceptualization, there are no obscurations. That meaning is the self-arisen essence, because there is no abandonment or attainment, one is free from hope and fear, not stained by any faults, without needing to cultivate, all qualities are complete. Look at Samantabhadra himself, because there is no essential cause or condition, it is called the formless Dharmakaya. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen, Buddhas and sentient beings have no difference on the ground, selfless self-arisen Samantabhadra, because there is no teacher, is the self-arisen body, without needing to hear or think, one naturally awakens, because there is no ignorance, one is free from mind, the wondrous awareness is the speech of the Victorious Ones, the aspect of no-mind, all
